Little wip of my newest DCA OC that I mentioned yesterday!! 💃✨

Their name is Dior (they/she/he) and they're a Sun model! They're hot headed and act bratty and tough to hide all their ✨trauma and the horrors✨. They were originally a washed up theatre animatronic back in their old pizzaplex, but they've since escaped on their own and now has the sole purpose to make their presence a 'you problem'. 🙂

So having talked with some friends about the Sun and Moon from eaps (or peas as we like to call it hence 'Sunpea' and 'Moonpea') i decided for fun to throw them into the mer au as twin pups who Eclipse finds all tangled up in a rockpool. The babies would have lost their parent(s) to a predator so Ruin and Eclipse take them in and now the roommates are gay uncles!

So about the peas - While they were stuck in the netting, Moonpea had more swimming freedom but Sunpea was the one tangled up the worst and was hurt by the movement. Moonpea would try to swim slowly, but Sunpea would still struggle from the pain and lash out clawing up Moonpeas arms resulting in the scars.

After rescue Sunpea would be terrified to swim in the ocean again for a while as well as be physically weakened from having been stuck in a restrictive and painful state prior, hence the learning to swim again. Moonpea also would need to learn how to swim properly again as while he isn't as physically weakened, he developed bad movement patterns from being trapped but he's not as nervous about it as Sunpea is.

Slavery in Fake Heaven

Important content warning : This post talks in heavy details of humanoid slavery in this AU, including sexual labor. I do not condone slavery in any form, and my characters views on it do not reflect mines.

Proceed with this in mind. I recommend as usual that people that are considered minors in their respective governments do not read this post.

The humans in this universe can be separated in two sections :

the free ones : who usually live either in ignorance of the supernatural society, or bribed by it to keep silence.

the owned ones : which are bound to a supernatural entity or another, much like common goods, or animals.

The humanoids people, of diverse races, genders and abilities, including magic ones, can be separated in quite similar sections :

the free ones : working, living as free people, inside their own or diverse communities,

the owned, or enslaved ones : compared to humans, the humanoids are not considered as low. They are closer to being considered as intelligent beings that, in certain instances, can buy their freedom. They are only ever enslaved or owned by people considered higher than them in the social hierarchy of the supernatural society (more will be said on the hierarchy).

How slavery works in Fake Heaven :

In simple words, any being higher on the hierarchy can own a being lower on it.

The ownership makes the person both the property, and the servant, of that higher being.

In that regard, the higher being has all rights of life, death, torture, maltreatment, and all kind of abuse over the person they own.

The slave has no say in their possible surgeries, treatments, clothes, body modifications, and living conditions.

Of course, some people will "take good care of their slaves", mostly treating them as one would a beloved pet. Some might even ask the slave their opinions on certain subjects, but nothing both in the society and the laws regulating it asks of them to act that way.

However :

Like said before, as soon as a humanoid is not a human, which is considered the lowest of the lowest, mere cattle, they have the possibility of buying their freedom to their master.

The price asked depend on the master, some will ask for the amount they paid for the person, other might ask impossible amounts as to prevent them from leaving, while some will in contrary, ask for a very minor amount, to help them get their freedom.

For a freed slave, very limited options are available. Many will continue working for their previous masters, in exchange of a small income, protection, shelter and food. This is because anyone of higher abilities still has the right to enslave them once again.

These options are even more limited if they've been enslaved since birth, or a very young age. Not knowing anything else than what they've been trained for, they are virtually unable to survive out of their own means outside of their previous master's home.

If a freed slave is unable to use their learned skills, and for a reason or another, do not stay under their previous master's employment (either the master refused to, or was so abusive the freed person will do anything but stay) , they most often end up becoming enslaved again very close after, or they decide to do a certain type of contract within adult entertainment. (more to be said later on that subject)

How to recognize a slave :

You may not recognize a slave just by seeing them, especially if they are clothed.

However, their behavior might be a good indicator of their situation, and they are rarely alone.

Some slaves however get sent on errands for their masters, so how to know if a being is free or enslaved is known by markings.

The markings are magical binding, that varies in capacities. But all involve a physical mark, that if one touches the slave with intention of either harming them in any way, having a sexual encounter, or rape, or just taking them for themselves, and the owner isn't present, or have made magical binding contracts with the person, the being touching the slave will receive a light electric shock, similar to a static, as a warning. And the markings on the slave's body will shine through whatever clothes they might wear, rending them visible no matter what for a few minutes.

After the warning, most people will stop any attempt, as the slaves are considered property, and damage or steal of property is illegal.

They can however, if they have taken a particular liking to the slave, give them a letter to bring back to their master, asking to buy the slave for themselves.

I think its fun to imagine Leshy being a weird uncle, and Aym and Baal may not be related to Narinder but they're basically his adopted kids so by default they get a little shitten sibling too
