in which the prefect has kept a secret from her friends, a rather godly one, to say.

content: greek mythology and its questionable lore, monster attacks, weapons, it's PJO what do you expect (spoilers)

to ace and deuce, the prefect was a rather peculiar person.

it was not the fact that her being a girl enrolled and was studying at NRC, a all-boys private college. no, it was because there was just something that never made sense about her.

for starters, she had this aura around her that made everyone, especially those who interacted with her feel a strange kind of inferiority, as if she wasn't entirely human. no one could ever put a finger on it, however.

her appearance was another mystery they had yet to solve. she was tall, taller than both of them by a couple centimetres, and rather athletic-looking. she had a light tan complexion which glinted nicely in the sun. her hair was ink black with a single streak of white framing the left side of her face. at first, they thought it was dyed as a fashion choice, but when they asked her about it, the prefect only chuckled and left.

deuce didn't know if his eyes had problems, he was sure as hell didn't. sometimes when he stared at the prefect's eyes for long enough, he swore he saw the sea green slowly bled into a startling shade of grey, like storm clouds rumbling in the rain. pretty, but intimidating, too, as if she was analysing the best way to throw headmaster crowley off of his throne.

ace didn't know how the prefect did it, but she had somehow renovated ramshackle dorm into what seemed to be a pantheon by the time school's festival and the vdc approached. everyone was pleasantly surprised to see the simple yet intricate designs of the marble walls and the detailed paintings on the ceilings, and the marvellous library filled to the brim with books in english and a language they didn't recognise. housewarden vil commended her creative mind and efforts nonetheless.

the prefect was indeed strange. she was seen with the owls surrounding her serene laughing figure, as she treated each owl with such care that could only rival jade leech's obsession with mushrooms and nature. she sacrificed the best part of her dinner to the hearth that always burn brightly in ramshackle's living room. and someone swore they saw her with a bronze sword running into the forests, but they could never provide any evidence afterwards.

that was what ace and deuce got from their observation. it didn't make much sense to them, but they wouldn't want to pry, no matter how curious they were. they trusted the prefect, and the prefect trusted them. she would tell them one day, right?

... right?

It was a solemn day for some in Night Raven College. They had lost their dearest friend that had helped them through their hardest times. They were considered a hero who helped those in need and befriended those who needed a shoulder to lean on. The dorm that seemed to be heavily affected was Diasomnia. 

Not only the house warden, but his bodyguards, were feeling the sadness of Y/n not being there anymore. The news and the goodbyes that happened in the Mirror Chamber. Classes were cut short just to say goodbye to Y/n, and the celebration of a safe return for them. No one was left without having shed a few, or a lot, of tears. 

Those tears were still being shed, the hero of Night Raven College forever being missed. But the one that was the most effected out of everyone was Sebek. He was in his room, wallowing in the pain that was consuming him. He looked at the many pictures he had with the h/c haired student that he had grown close too. 

Sebek had no idea why he was so affected by Y/n leaving, but something in him yearned for them to come back. To come back into his world and tell him everything will be okay. Sebek longed for one last hug, one that would last eternity, with the reassurance of it never ending. Sebek gripped the photo close to his heart, trying so hard to burn Y/n into his memory. 

It was so hard to accept the fact that he could never see his friend ever again. That alone was hard to process, the phantom touch of Y/n still lingering on Sebek. All of his sobbing, however, was put to a halt when a knock at the door softly brought him out of his thoughts. 

He went up to open the door to see that no one was there, in place of a person was a vase of beautiful flowers. He noticed that a brown tag, along with an envelope, was attached. Sebek read the tag out loud. 

“To Sebek. From Y/n..”

He couldn’t bring himself to even finish reading it. Tears already brimming in his eyes. He hesitantly opened the envelope, carefully taking out a piece of paper. It had read.  

By the time you receive these, Crowley would have already sent me back home. When I first got here, I admittedly was afraid of you. But after getting to know you and seeing how dedicated, loyal and kind you are, I couldn't help but want to be at your side as your friend. It's just a shame that these feelings became more intimate, and I couldn't muster up the courage to express them to you. Although I may never see you again, I am truly grateful to have known and fallen for you, my dearest knight.

Pansies: You occupy my thoughts

While I may be back in my home world, I will never forget you. You were an amazing friend, and I will forever think of you in my day-to-day life. Every little thing I do and see will lead back to you, and even though I am not there anymore, I am still with you. Every cloud in the sky to the blades of grass, I hope you see me in them because I see you. Sleepless nights were spent with just you in my mind. I hope you never forget me because I will never forget you. My only regret was not telling you how much I adore you.

Moonflowers:  Dreaming of Love

Once I saw you, my heart beat so much faster. I wanted to spend every waking minute of my life with you, but sadly that can’t be my reality. Even so, it is still something I will always have in my soul. My love for you will burn, even when I’m not with you anymore, it will be something that will never go away. I am sad that I had to leave so soon, and not being able to experience the relationship we could have had together. My heart will forever be yours, and only in my dreams will we only ever meet.

You are a wonderful knight, and I can only wish you the best of luck. Not just luck with school, but with your life. I know you are going to do amazing things, and show everyone how amazing you truly are. I have complete faith in you, not just as a person, but in you making your future remarkable. I could go on and on about how I know you will do incredible things, but I’m running out of time. Even if this end is a bitter one, I am happy to have known you. Sebek was left in large, shiny tears. He held the vase so close to him, it was his last link to the person he had fallen for. He choked back sobs, not wanting to disturb anyone. He didn’t understand what caused so much pain in his heart. But the feeling that settled was regret, the regret of not becoming something closer to Y/n and not being honest with himself.
