We were trekking in the jungle in Laos, staying overnight in small villages. I found a nice cozy spot on the edge of the village around dusk to sketch and journal, when I look up and one of the kids who lives there is standing right next to me staring down at my sketchbook. Before I know it, I’m surrounded by children staring at me(none of them speak English). Having no idea what else to do… I just start sketching them. They seemed amused by that(pretty sure they were laughing at how I was drawing their friends).
