@thetruearchmagos oh gosh. the genres you like to write in are insane! I also saw that you like to worldbuild, in which- teach me please. do you ever think you do too much? or like how much is enough worldbuilding within a story? I know there's not a limit, but I've seen authors mention how sometimes worldbuilding takes too much away from the story, or they do it more than needed in a story. stuff like that.

I love that you're interesting in political building aspects, too! And the military! What caused your interest in this? Any fun facts or tips in a story? Honestly I would love to just learn from this haha :D

PJOOOOOO. AND SPY SCHOOL. Childhood favorites, those were the good times haha.

I DEFINITELY SENSE A SPARK OF ADVENTURE IN YOUR STORY ALREADY. And your description is just amazing! I can definitely visualize the scene, though there is a stark contrast with the choking smoke. It's almost like the main character is uncomfortable being in this beautiful place, hmmmm.

me, desperate for some writer friends/mutuals

hi everyone!

this is just a post where writers get to know writers, and hopefully through reblogs/comments we can find more people who not only read/write our genre, but just people who have similarities with us.

it's kind of a simple "get to know me" post, and anyone can join <3

feel free to tag your mutuals and reblog !!

name: genres you like to write in: genres you like to read in + fav books/media: favorite line from your current wip:

genres you like to write in: currently writing contemporary (ya/romcom/romance, give me them ALL), but I also like to dabble in fantasy!

genres you like to read in + fav books/media: i'll consume literally anything haha. Fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, romance, young adult, you name it. I'm awful with horror, though ;-;

percy jackson (MY CHILDHOOD), harry potter (OBVIOUSLY), Better Than the Movies, From Lukov with Love, The Love Hypothesis, These Violent Delights, the list goes on...

favorite or latest line from your current wip: [latest line, because what a mood- from Destination Seoul] Ha. Per usual, the universe hates me.

@athenswrites

we need to start off by addressing your fancy pen name, because it is fancy and I also want one now haha. <3 science fiction! I actually think most of the sci fi books I've read had to be a badass girl heading to a spaceship and beating a bunch of dudes or proving herself in the current planet she's in.

If i'm being honest, sci fi is like one of those genres that I'm unfamiliar with. I have seen most of the mainstream ones being aliens, but if you have any recs, I'd love to check them out!

AND ALSO. Modern fantasy having horror/thriller undertones is what keeps the action going and me flipping the page. I don't think it's needed, obviously, but I love it being a nice bonus to fantasy haha.

IS THAT ROMANCE IN THIS LINE I SEE. I AM MELTING FROM IT. I NEED THE SCENE TO BE EXPLAINED. NOBODY BETTER DIE AHHHHH

last line tag

thank you for the tag @pluttskutt !!

this is the ending of heart of hellfire!!

Wynn and Theo followed, Theo wrapping his arm around Wynn’s shoulders and kissing her temple as they walked. She smiled up at him. “So what are we going to do once we’re done with finals?” “We’ll figure it out,” he answered and leaned down to kiss her lips. “Like we always do.”

The Kumiho is a shapeshifting creature of Korean legend. A nine tailed fox who has learnt to take human form, they typically transform into beautiful women to (literally) eat the hearts of unlucky young men.

There are many tales of shapeshifting, multi-tailed foxes (with nine being the desirable number) but what sets the Kumiho apart from the others is the source of their power. Each Kumiho is said to carry a bead, called a yeowoo guseul, which their power comes from. They are able to drain the energy of a human by inserting and retrieving the bead from a human’s month (under the guise of kissing).

This is a risky method - if a human steals and swallows the bead they can grain incredible knowledge.
