Guess Who Made Her Own Puppets

Guess who made her own puppets ššš
This is my first attempt at making puppets and honestly, Iām pretty happy with it! I hope that the other puppet projects I have planned help me improve my puppet making skills going forward
Btw, the Dogās name is Tubs. I inspired his look and the way he functions off of Rowlf and Cookie Monster. I thought itād be cute to give him a little flea wife, so I did that too lol
Her name is Floreen

CrayFurbs minimally invasive Furby restoration tutorial (pt 1)
Hello everyone! So I had a couple people ask me about my cleaning methods so I thought I would make a tutorial post! These are just things Iāve learned and the Method I prefer when cleaning or restoring furbys for my personal collection (that being oneās I like to keep mint or near perfect) or rarer furbys (like kid cuisinea, hi-cs) without causing damage to the zip tie or tags.
So in this tutorial Iāll walk you through:
Disabling the zip tie WITHOUT cutting it
Removing and preserving paper tags
General cleaning + what I found works best
Step 1: specimen procurement.

Today I present you with a very stinky lad who has the honor (or misfortune) of being my demonstrate-ie
Heās overall in good cosmetic condition, tags intact but his fur is extremely yellowed and he is generally icky.
Step 2. Removing the ziptie, without cutting it
So to start, locate the zip tie and shift the pelt until the main block part is exposed like so

Then take a sharp tool and push it BETWEEN the locking mechanism and the end of the zip tie, it takes some practice but with a little pushā¦.

It pops free! You just preserved the zip tie without cutting it :) and you can re-use it on the furb!
You can then skin as usual. Really your preference on this.
Step 3: removing the āhang tagā

So now you should have a pelt with the tag on, now if you want to still wash the furb + save the tags hereās how I do it!

find the end of the hang tag, it should look like a little āTā you can use a needle or similar tool to part the fur and find the the hole where it went through, gently angle the T piece and feed it through

Flip the furb inside out, and repeat previous step.
You should then have a plastic tag that hasnāt been cut, and with no damage to the paper tag.

Now. Take that beautifully skinned pelt and put it in some water to soakā¦. While part 2 is being written.
FURBY FANDOM! I need your help!
So, my brother bought an emoto-tronic furby on eBay (untested). It works, but with a couple of issues. One issue is that the eyes wonāt open, and when I gently open them, they donāt stay open. Another issue, is in the video you can hear very loud, high pitched, mechanical whirring. For that Iāve been recommended to possibly oil or lubricate something on the inside, but I donāt know what Iām doing. All I know is how to take the feet off. Any help for this Iād be massively grateful for! Iāll even doodle you a little furby drawing if youād like (anything to get this guy fixed)!
