yunho was requested to do a modeling shoot for a well-known companies new line of sleepwear

he was ecstatic, not only because he enjoyed what the company has put out in the past, but also because he was promised freebies from the line

he had agreed to do the shoot before they even gave him the more major details, those details being that he will also be modeling with other idols

such as idols like shin ryujin, han jisung, seo changbin, hwang yeji, and you

let me tell you

once he saw your name on the casting list, he kind of - how do i put it - lost his shit

you and him... on the same set. and modeling together

he was now much more nervous than he was before

he had a massive amount of admiration for you and your passions, going as far as to say he has a crush on you

at least, his members definitely thought so

"oooo yunho is gonna do a shoot with y/n~" wooyoung taunts

"shut up, i'm not even nervous," yunho deadpans, trying to hide his flushed face, failing

"yeah, uh huh. why don't you say that with your head not hanging low, hm?" san adds on, causing a groan to fall from yunho's lips as he lifts his head

constant teases from the group till the day of the shoot

thankfully for yunho, his groupmates could not accompany him on set

he doesn't even want to know what they would say if given the chance to speak with you

he arrived on the set, nervous as hell, and made a b-line to the makeup studio to try and calm his nerves before seeing you

once he was finished, he talked with changbin briefly before he saw you come in through the door

your makeup had already been done for the shoot, and with all of the models ready to go, all they had to do was find what clothing you all had to wear

yunho did not fail to notice how one of them was a matching set

he didn't know if he wished you and him wore the set or if he didn't

"can we have yunho and ryujin try the matching set please," the photographer asked

yunho and ryujin nod before taking the garments in their hands, going into the small changing booth

this process was followed by everyone until every one was changed

the first to go up was yeji, then changbin, then you, followed by jisung, and lastly, yunho and ryujin

you couldn't help the small pang in your chest as you watched yunho and ryujin interact

you were upset because all of the other idols here seemed to want to talk to you, well, everyone except for yunho

you thought he didn't want to be around you, or maybe even had something against you

he was just so nervous to talk to you :( he admired you, he didn't want to accidentally fanboy

"were going to have to try something different," the photographer says, catching the attention of all of the idols. "ryujin, could you switch clothes with y/n?"

"fuck." - both y/n and yunho's mind

ryujin nods before walking over to the changing room, the photographer instructing you to follow

you switch clothes and you couldn't help the blush that falls on your face and ears

yunho had avoided looking at you at first

he thought you looked adorable

he tried his best to hide the smile that was on his face, his big puppy eyes trained towards you gave him away, though

you thought he looked so handsome

"alright, were going to try the same poses, y/n, did you see any of them?"

"no, i'm sorry, sir."

"that's alright," the photographer says, walking closer to help the two of you into positions he imagined

the first few were simple, camera low with the lens aimed high at you and yunho's bodies as they stood next to each other

others were of your faces, smiling at each other

or laughing with your head against his chest and looking into the camera, then at each other

"move over here, please," the photographer asks, motioning his hand to the couch that was sitting vacant behind you both

"yunho, please sit and have your legs open. y/n sit in the floor between his legs, your back leaning against the couch."

you did as he told, yunho tried his best to keep his heart at bay

"yunho, lean down to where your head is on their right, looking at them with a smile. y/n, smile at me then turn to smile at yunho, alright?"

you nod, already smiling, feeling yunho's eyes on you as you stare into the camera

you turn your head, meeting yunho's gaze, only then realizing how close he actually was to you

and from his eyes widening and his smile dropping the slightest bit, you could tell he realized it too

a heavy blush found its way to his face, his neck heating up as your gaze lingered on him, even after the photographer said you two were finished

"alright, ryujin, we're ready for you!" the photographer yells, ryujin giving him a thumbs up before heading over, bringing the both of you back to reality

"yunho, y/n," the photographer starts speaking again, "you two were amazing! i felt like there was actual chemistry between the two of you, not like you two were models told to pose next to each other for a paycheck."

the compliment shocked you both as you thanked him before walking away

"i'm yunho, by the way," yunho says, realizing the other idols were no where to be seen; deciding to try to make conversation

"yunho, i know who you are," you laugh, catching yunho slightly off guard

"you do?"

"of course i do? your performances are insane, everything from your vocals to your dance is amazing. i've watched you perform at award shows," you continue as yunho blinks at you. "everyone in ateez is incredibly talented, but you always seem to catch my eye. how could i not know the infamous jeong yunho?"

he feels . incredibly mushy inside

but you weren't done

"you honestly inspire me to perform better for our fans, i want to give them at least a fraction of the experience you bring to your fans."

he feels like he is going to cry and scream and jump up and down all at once

but he didn't, instead his brain just short-circuits and he stays silent, his eyes on you as you two stood still, his mouth slightly agape

"too far? i'm sorry if that made you uncomfortable-"

"no, you're okay," he begins. "that was... you have no idea how happy your compliment makes me feel, especially since it came from you."

you let out a sigh of relief, smiling

"i've always admired how charismatic you were on stage, and your dance abilities are so mesmerizing. i can't look away when you perform," he compliments

"thank you, so much, yunho. that means so much coming from you," you say, a wide smile present on your face as he flashes one back

"hey, lovebirds! they brought food, come get it before it's gone!" you hear before turning around, seeing jisung peeking through the doorway

"thank you!" yunho answers, giving him a thumbs up before jisung disappears

"you're just going to gloss over the 'lovebirds' thing?" you ask, you didn't mind the title, you just didn't want to make yunho uncomfortable

"nah, what did that photographer say we had again?" yunho starts as you two begin walking down the same hallway jisung went. "chemistry, was it?"

you hand your head low as you smile, feeling warmth creep onto your cheeks at the comment as yunho smiles to himself, his heart aching at your reaction

"maybe we should see if he and jisung are right,' yunho says. "would you want to see each other again?"

"yes, and preferably not in pajamas."
