LILY IGLEHART For Ola !
đȘ â LILY IGLEHARTâ for ola !

â ââââââ feel like i hold backâŠand i donât know why i canât seem to say just what i mean. â
â I NEVER WANT you to feel like you need to hold back. not with me, at least. â ola has never met anyone like lily before.  the way she sees the world is entirely unique. & for someone like ola, who has spent years trying to come to terms with reality, there is something magnetic about the idea of escaping into her girlfriendâs fantastical world, even for a little while. but itâs not a place she can go without being invited, & she can tell that @mysfatedâ isnât used to inviting people in to such a private place. so ola does her best to be patient, head cocked to the side as she considers. â maybe it would help to draw some of it out, like you do your glenoxi stories ? it might be easier for you than trying to say it all out loud. â

đȘ â EDWARD TEACH for stede !
if only he werenât so ridiculously spellbound,  then yes, he would manage to free himself rather quick. a well placed kick, or maybe just a knee, and stede would probably go down â but this is hardly him sparring, is it? the real thing has never been this meek. edward teach doesnât just give up without fighting until the end, and yet he is rendered harmless without even a blade against his throat. stede is not helping matters, on his part, keeping up that talk. he clearly doesnât know what mess he is making of edwardâs brain. and itâs bloody unfair of him. absolutely maddening.  â yeah, thatâs right â you won, stede. why donât you just kiss me and be done with it? â  damn his tongue, too loose and disconnected from his brain to function as it should. he will claim to have taken a nonexistent blow to the head, if this goes south. because surely thatâs going to work.Â
IT MUST BE A TRAP. thatâs the first thing he thinks â that this will be just like back in his boarding school days, when nigel had tricked him into french-kissing one of the stable horses in front of everyone.  & the long-ago quieted laughter of his classmates echoes in his ears as stede recoils back a step, forcing some distance between them as his face flushes hot with embarrassment.  â what ? but i wasnât â i didnât mean â â his blade drops at his side, the duel entirely forgotten, & stedeâs eyes follows it to the finely lacquered deck, suddenly unable to look ed in the face. in the past, denial has always suited him best, but his sudden nerves make the words overflow disconnectedly from his lips. â iâve never â well, itâs not that iâve never. but mary & i, we didnât often â she didnât seem to â  â & even stede can tell heâs babbling now, cutting himself off mid-sentence with a dry laugh.  â that is to say, i didnât expect that kissing would be part of our captaining lessons. i thought that pirates were usually so busy raiding & dueling each other that they had little time left over for such... activities ? â

đȘ â ADAM GROFFâ for ola !

â Just have to keep on trying, donât I? And⊠get better every day, I sâpose. â
THE LOOK OLA GIVES HIM is bright with approval, an encouraging smile & a nod given as she places her hand on her friendâs forearm. â thatâs right. thatâs all any of us can do, really. â she hasnât known adam that long, but already sheâs seen a drastic change in him. the truth is, he had already become almost unrecognizable from the sullen boy sheâd met back when he first started working with her at brownâs.  â everyone makes mistakes â what matters is that you try to learn from them. & iâm really proud of you, adam. youâve learned a lot lately. you should be proud of yourself, too. â
