Serious Question, I hope this isn't offensive, but why are people against Spinel and Steven? I could see some chemistry going down. It's a lot better than Stevencest.

I guess most of these people are against any Steven/gem ship because of age difference (they describe it as pedophilia).

Well I think, as long as gems don't actually have ageing concept, we should consider their mental state. I see Pearl and Garnet as moms for Steven, Amethyst as his elder sister.

As for Spinel.. She is 6000+ "years old". But she was created as a child to entertain Pink Diamond. She is the best friend. She spent six thousands years standing still waiting for a friend. I doubt that she grew up mentally during waiting time. She was still a child when she got Steven's message. Lost and forgotten child. During the movie she seems to me as a problematic teenager who needs a friend therapy like, you know, Steven during SUF. I'm so amazed how much they have in common. In my opinion, they are like soulmates.

And just look at Spinel in "Homeworld bound". She's a baby. I'm sorry, but there is no way to call this ship pedophilia. I respect every ship and every opinion. But I don't want a ship that I like or me or other people who like Stevinel to be associated with such a bad thing or treated badly.
