Kdramas I Have Watched

When I read the description of this show I was on the fence so I waited to hear if the show was good before I started watching. I saw some positive comments while it was airing and only then began watching.

I thought the show would be confusing with all nineteen lives but that part was explained well. I immediately fell in love in with this show, I will give credit to the child actors for that. Before we even got to see the lead actors I was fully invested in these characters' lives. The actors were incredible, I can't wait to see them get bigger roles as they get older.

By the time we get to present day, I have already formed an attachment to these characters and the casting was spot on. I could see similarities between the younger and older versions.

The show was SO goooood initially. It was fast paced-major developments were made in the plot in each episode and nothing dragged out + all the characters were so endearing. I was thoroughly enjoying it.

🚨SPOILER ALERT!!! 🚨

Once the talk of her first life came up things started to go downhill. I didn't like that they started to show little clips of her first life edited in a way to mislead us. It's fine if they show short clips to prolong the reveal but to show us different edits of the same scenario was irritating. I could forgive that but then we get to the last episode...

🚨MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD🚨

The end made no sense to me. She chose to break the curse and not remember her past lives but her past lives are what lead her down this path in this life, it would make sense for her to have complete amnesia, not just forget the people from her past lives. If she didn't live with her niece her life would have turned out very differently and also didn't she take steps to eventually lead her to Seo-ha? She wouldn't have the same life if she didn't remember her past lives. I think it would make more sense for her to not remember her past lives from her next life and going forward.

If you've read the webtoon please let me know how this was explained.

So while I loved this show at the beginning and simply adored the characters I can't recommend this. Unless you watch episode 1-11 and make up your own ending 😅

Kdramas I Have Watched

I'm a huge fan of Woo Do-hwan so obviously this show was on my radar. I thought it was a show revolving around boxing so I didn't have high hopes...I don't like sports 🤷

I was hooked on this show from the very beginning, who doesn't love rooting for the underdogs?? And especially when they look like that!! The bromance is incredible in this show and I love that they instantly hit it off as opposed to an enemies to friends trope. Ain't nobody got time for that with only 8 episodes.

I liked the dynamic with Gun-woo, Woo-jin and Hyeon-ju, I expected great things from them. This show gets really dark but there's also many light hearted moments. It was incredible how Sang-yi and Do-hwan could be these fluffy innocent dorky guys and then beat the crap out of a large group of thugs. Brilliant acting from them both.

In such a short time I grew so attached to these characters but I knew someone would die...I was not expecting the way it happened 😭 and for therapy they offer us a shirtless, sweaty training montage.....😄

Tiny spoiler incoming:

There was just one thing I didn't like about the show, Hyeon-ju's character's disappearance. I kept waiting for her to return and she obviously didn't and it didn't feel right. After watching the show I discovered the actress was removed because of some scandal but I am annoyed that it affected the story. I need to know what they had originally planned for her character!!

I loved this show from start to end and I am highly recommending it. Try to binge it in a day because each episode ends with awful cliffhangers.

What did everyone see in Celebrity that I am missing? I am so bored but too close to the end to quit. The mystery aspect is progressing too slowly, I am not shipping this couple at all and there are so many irritating characters. I feel like I'm watching Pretty Little Liars with adults

Dear Kdrama writers:

1. Please keep the writing consistent. Don't give me amazing episodes early on and then when I'm fully invested give me a rushed ending that you put zero thought into.

2. STOP breaking up the lead couple in the penultimate episode just to reunite them in the finale. Every show doesn't need a break up/distance leading to a reunion.

3. As much as I want a happy ending, it needs to make sense. I'd rather get a 'sad ending' if it is consistent with the show/characters/plot.
