ignore the fact it took me so long (three days) to find this LMFAO

anyways. I refuse this. This would’ve been as disappointing as the og ending. It should’ve ended like how Epps died!! I remember reblogging a post about this a few weeks ago (linked here), but it would’ve been much more in character for Pelant to kill himself.

While, yes, mf was not suicidal, it would’ve been his last “fuck you” to the government by denying them the closure. I really think this would’ve been the only good ending?? I can’t imagine it going any other way

Just imagine the team doing everything they can to lure Pelant out like in 9x4, but nothing happens for months. Zero leads. Then suddenly a body turns up and they can’t get anything from it. No dna, dental records, anything, until they start tying things into it being Pelant (old injuries that are congruent with the sports he played, maybe the face thing, etc).

To me, it would’ve been the best ending, because the last thing he would’ve wanted is to be killed by fucking Booth

also, the fact he DIDNT get an infection or something from booths shot was surprising, but doesn’t he canonically have the same level of knowledge of anatomy as brennan? it sorta makes sense, but I still don’t understand how he survied it in the first place 😭 (thank god though, he looked even more cute with the scar)

I think they should have killed Pelant with an infection from the shot to the head he patched himself. They could have done a whole episode trying to figure out who the body was just like normal and the final blow is that it's just Pelant. He died stupidly from an infection he could have survived if he wasn't a bad guy.

I think it would have been a great way to take away all his power and impact and something new and interesting for TV. No fun gun fights for Booth, but emotionally it would have been a much more interesting story, imo.
