Accepting Yourself
The fear that you feel when facing villains. The powerless that you feel when you were feared. The quirk which you feel that is not flashy.
They are part of you and none of them are wrong. Pls love yourself more my boi.

AO3 Tips - Linking/Images
So another post to help people who post on AO3 and want to use links or images! In some places you can use limited html - author’s note, beginning and end notes, and your profile. You can insert a link into any of these places. Pictures can be linked into the main story space, and I believe comments (but I haven’t tried recently).
Inserting a Link
Here is an example of a link:
<a href=“http://www.nzherald.co.nz”>Text That Appears</a>
You can easily copy and paste this example then change out the text.
First, insert the address you want to link in between the “ ” marks. Make sure it includes http:// or https://; most internet browsers don’t bother to show those anymore.
Second, where it says “Text that Appears”, cut that out and put whatever words you want in there.
That’s all there is to it. You can insert the entire thing into a sentence, if you like. See below for some examples of links in my AO3 profile.

This is an image of what it looks like.

Inserting an Image
You can also put images into your stories!
Images have to be on a webpage; sometimes your image is not on a webpage and doesn’t have a link. If it’s on somebody else’s webpage, it’s often considered rude to link directly to their webpage/server, as it will take up bandwidth and cost them money. So we’ll assume you have the picture downloaded to your computer. You can upload the picture to tumblr and link it from there.
But what if you don’t want to put the image on your tumblr for everyone to see? Easy.
Create a photo blog and dump the photo into the blog. On the bottom right, click the drop down box by ‘post’ and change to 'post privately’ then 'post’ it.

Next click on 'posts’ just to the right of the video blog; this shows all your posts, including your private ones. You can see at the top of the image it says 'private’ with a padlock. It hasn’t been posted to my blog; only I can see it.

Now I need to get the weblink for this picture. So I right-click on the image and choose 'copy link location’. I’ll paste it here just so you can see what it looks like; you could paste into notepad or somewhere else (or a new browser window) to see if it works.

Note that tumblr image links are long and typically say media in the address. So this looks correct; this is the link I need for my AO3 page.
I want to insert this in the bottom of a story I already published. Note that the format is html, not rich text.
I’ve added a line under my story by inserting <hr>, and then a blank line after it by putting <p>. These are optional, but I find a few spaces helps it look a little better. I suggest using <hr> in stories when you have a transition - I know people use other symbols, like ~~~~~ or @@@@@ or such, but inserting a <hr> will give you a nice ruled line. And a <p> is a blank line.

Then to put my picture in, I use this line:
<img src=“http://www.example.com/image.jpg”>
And once again inserting the address of the picture in between the “ ”. So in the case of my sunflowers, the entire thing becomes:
<img src=“https://38.media.tumblr.com/5bc166f8106de30e7d36ecb4884c2cf3/tumblr_n8sd7cQreU1sjrkcxo1_500.jpg”>
And it’s long and doesn’t fit on a single line but that’s okay.
Once I save it, I get this:

And there you see the end of the story, a line created by using <hr>, a one line break created by <p>, and finally the image, created by <img src=“https://38.media.tumblr.com/5bc166f8106de30e7d36ecb4884c2cf3/tumblr_n8sd7cQreU1sjrkcxo1_500.jpg”>.
Enjoy :)
