To the angry gentleman with a female companion who walked into the place of business that I work at and flipped the fuck out and brought your family in to shout the manager-on-duty down because only one of you could produce ID to buy alcohol when asked:

First off, yes. I am aware that you are black and I am a capitalist wage-slave.

I am also aware that you openly bragged about your military service, so how about this for a rebuttal:

Killing brown people in “two tours of duty in Iraq” (and I am quoting you directly) for the white military-industrial complex forfeits any sort of racial “high ground” against a majority POC staff on duty, which includes first-generation immigrants with ethnic backgrounds that frequently get stereotyped as sleeper-cell terrorists (or in the context of military service, “insurgents”) by the media.

I’d love to see some veins pop when you come in this morning/afternoon to have a word with the store’s top manager, who literally happens to be one of two white guys on this particular branch’s payroll.
