In all my disappointment about what the writers are doing with Aemond and Aegon I forgot to mention Helaena yesterday.

In the books her grief drives her to madness to the point where she eventually ends up taking her own life.

But here she is "oh well, babes die every day"

I'm sorry, what?? I was so confused by that scene, I expected to see her broken this episode, even more withdrawn in her own head and closed off from the world than usual. But she appears to be the opposite.

And then the whole "I forgive you"

Really? Does everything in this show need to come back down to Alicent? Let me see Helaena grieve on her own or give me scenes of her and her brothers but please stop making everything about Alicent. She is not that interesting.

I'm really curious to see what they'll do with Helaena next but I fear it will only be another disappointment.
