At least the crazy things that happen to Sims (especially new Sims) can be explained by Ericka's exploring an alien world in the Human Enough challenge. Does anyone else find new Sims get overwhelmed with events from every DLC all at once??!
So far (this is second in-game day, mind) Ericka has gotten influenza (Private Practice mod...) and so was feeling too uncomfortable to actually work on any of her 'human' skills.
So, taking a few naps, one in the library and one in her tent (being alien and newly arrived, Ericka CANNOT go to a doctor) Ericka decided to explore the pier. Well, hilarious and not at the same time, Ericka got pranked by some carny and thought the Ferris wheel was broken so screamed her lungs out. I couldn't make this up, it was all in the notifications! 😮
Poor girl is hungry, but unable to collect from dig sites or fish to get money or food. Social is low. Plus, she's still sick.
Here's Erika Watt. A work in progress for the "Human Enough" Challenge. I'm not going to be able to stick to all rules, so she's planted on a previous runaway teenager lot (which is a park with a tent...) but she has zero money, zero skills and will work her way into school and into assimilating with the 'humans'. Story W.I.P.
Decided I really liked the idea of the "Human Enough" Challenge and this is what CAS gave me as a starting base. Sweet isn't she?

Acknowledging that my gameplay has been extremely erratic in recent months and my presence on Tumblr sporadic.
There is a whole tonne of real-life drama happening all at once and none of it rapidly resolved. Relaxing, even with the Sims has been difficult.
However, I do adore our pixel people. So know that Cameron Winter here has been living a decent life. While his apartment kinda sucks, he's been having some mini-vacations and begun dating/looking for love. Hope I may be able to update you on him again real soon.

receive phone call from MARRIED stranger who "got your number from a mutual friend" and wants to go on a date.
My brother gave me Lovestruck for my birthday. Now I can't quite decide if to finish the apartment I was making for a newly married couple and his teenaged brother (the guys just lost their parent/s) or if to start a globetrotter type challenge with a single YA. Or if to just try out Lovestruck with a suitable YA in a single location... ... decisions decisions.
