Abandoned Hollywood Beach Road in Arnold, Missouri. An entire riverside neighborhood was affected from the dioxin contaminated flood in the upstream town of Times Beach along the Meramec River in 1982. 11 years later in 1993 a historic level flood swept through, cleaning out what prior floods didn't claim. Ruins of home foundations remain along the roads, but most of the side streets have since overgrown.
Indigo Milk Cap Mushroom
Lactarius indigo
These otherworldly deep indigo blue milkcaps contain a derivative of azulene. This pigment is also found in some species of soft corals throughout the oceans.
Edible (at your own risk). They have a mild taste to me and I prefer them sauteed.
