Kurama is having his birthday party with his beloved demon friends! Their children are present too so they could all get acquainted but it seems some adults got into trouble!

Kurama's scolding is one thing but Kurama Jr.'s chastising is a different sting! Well no one is harmed so everything was resolved peacefully and Yusuke and Chu were stuck on kitchen duty!

Watching Yu Yu Hakusho as a 14 year old, Game Master's arc made me cry.

As an adult watching it, this is TERRIFYING.

Sensui is shown explicitly grooming Amanuma and manipulating him to die. Amanuma was a ten-year-old latch-key kid with no supervision, obsessed with arcades, and Sensui paid attention to him. Made him feel special. Counted on him not to fully understand the consequences of his actions if he helped destroy the world. Amanuma was so relieved that an adult was interested in the same things as him and so excited by the idea of "no school, no parents" that he genuinely didn't comprehend what he was involved in until Kurama basically read him his death sentence. And even then, Amanuma kept trying to rationalize:

"Mr. Sensui is the only one who really cares about him."

"He said he'd keep me safe, so I should trust him. He cares about what I have to say!"

Sensui made a game of pushing Team Urameshi's moral limits, and counted on Amanuma dying and making them feel bad. And Kurama DOES feel bad for letting Amanuma die - but Kurama is a lot older than Yusuke or even Genkai, and is by FAR the most ruthless member of the team. It's shocking for the audience that Kurama is wiling to murder a child and say that he has no regrets afterwards - but Kurama also recognizes that the blame for this situation lies solely with Sensui for putting Amanuma in this situation on purpose.

It's one of those things in the series that show Sensui as a special kind of evil.
