the teacher just emailed me saying that i have to take my fucking pride flag down, as it “is inaproppriate and may harm the mental state of others”.

ill take it down when he takes down his confederate flag, and his trump flag.

im the only girl in that class, and they constantly make mysoginistic, homophobic, racist jokes, and have on multiple occasions made r*pe jokes. they’ve made fun of me for being disturbed by these ‘jokes’, and have not respected me at all.

i’m done. i’ve taken notes of every time they’ve said something like this, who’s said it, and what they said. i’m turning them in to my principal, and if he doesn’t listen, the school board.

keep in mind, im in middle school (year 7), in a high-school level class. 

i have been called a d*ke, f*g, and many other things in that class. there was a gender neutral student that got bullied out after almost everyone in the class used he/him pronouns instead of zie/zir, which were zir pronouns. 

when i proposed an idea in the class that maybe trump isnt good? the whole class started berating me, and i was once again, called slurs. once it quieted down, a boy said, “you know, we could take you all right now if we were in school.” and the class cheered. you could see the teacher laughing.

i repeat. I AM IN SEVENTH. FUCKING. GRADE.

my teacher almost everyday asks a classmate how he’s doing and how he’s ‘putting up with that leftist brainwashing’ (the classmate is a conservative, while his family is very very democratic). the classmate usually replies with ‘alright.’ or ‘eh, could be better.’, and the teacher goes on to talk about depression and su*cide, as if he isn’t allowing me to be harrassed daily.

i try and bring it up? 

another goddamn r*pe joke. or, a boy tries to tell me to ‘get in the kitchen’, that i should be behaving like a housewife in the 1950′s!

lets look up what that means. the first thing that pops up is a list! ok, lets read that.

now, if these boys are going to tell me to behave like its the 1950′s, they’ve gotta act the part as well!

so, i search ‘expectations of 1950′s men’.

let’s summarize;  wake up, put on a suit, and go to work. don’t see your children for a while, make enough money to support your family’s lifestyle, come home, eat dinner, and go to bed.

seems a bit much, for both sides.

so, unless this boy wants to work his ass off to support me and the kids, hardly see his kids, and probably not really have any relationships with them to show for his hard work, he better shut up.

because i am not going to take down my pride flag. i am not going to continue to let these mysoginistic, racist, homophobic, literal scumbags tell me what to do. 

so, i think i’ll hang up all my flags in my background. and i think i’ll give my presentation on the effects of toxic masculinity at a young age, with references, jokes, and examples pulled from my own life.
