I recently hit 200 followers here on Tumblr (thanks yall!!) and decided to draw a lil Meet The Artist meme to celebrate, since I’ve never drawn one before!

Watch me completely overhaul & rewrite Monkeywrench for the third time in as many years.
Draft 1: Everyone’s dead and/or one-dimensional. I have no idea what the ending is. There’s some supernatural stuff but it’s incredibly inconsistent. Multiple important characters don’t exist yet. The Elijah arc is a thing. Basil’s a cinnamon roll (??).
Draft 2: Eliminated the supernatural stuff, but now the setting is boring. Everyone’s better developed, but still dead. Freddie and Hartwell exist now. Elijah arc was cut because it was a bad idea and also irrelevant. Specific scenes are developed in detail. I heard a vague whisper of the ending once in a dream and immediately forgot it.
Draft 3: Selene and Wendy exist now. Basil is no longer a cinnamon roll, and has a hoodie (what an upgrade). Most characters are no longer dead. Everyone’s well developed and I have a solid grasp on the plot, but a bunch of tropes I hate snuck in while I wasn’t looking. I accidentally made about half the characters irrelevant to the plot. The setting and conflict are *so boring.*
Draft 4 (current): We are reintroducing supernatural stuff to this economy, in a way that makes sense this time. ELIMINATE THE SHITTY TROPES. I know the ending now! Everybody’s probably getting minor redesigns. The teens and side Dantescorp characters are relevant again.
I swear to god if there’s a Draft 5 I’ll yell. (Knowing me? There probably will be.)
