~I've just had an epiphany. What if everything I hated when growing up was because it was soft? And that scared me because I saw what the world did to soft things. Then again, ladybugs and crabs get squashed, despite being built to resist. What if, after all these years, I find refuge in the soft things and quit living in the cracked and broken shell I have called home since childhood.~
