I love that in so far every dialogue Bi Han has with himself as Noob Saibot heโs just absolutely icked out that he ends up like that or just refuses to believe it

september 29, 1998.
ada wong accepted a mission of albert wesker to get the g virus. first to find her boyfriend and now to save the world, ada lies to a rookie police officer to get her hands on the dangerous virus. without proper knowledge of what may be in city, she must fight the creatures. she may struggle, but that won't stop her mission.
gotta please the client after all.
welcome to resident evil, ada wong. it's been a pleasure knowing you for twenty-six years
people shocked at smoke's animality really speaks volumes at how mischaracterized he is in this fandom. that man is a ruthless killer, strong as hell, and extremely protective of his own. he's not a sweet little submissive flower who follows kuai liang like a puppy and is scared of bi-han. he's second in command of the shirai ryu, he trains both hanzo and takeda, he takes charge every time he needs to. he's also very modern and has an entire personality. he likes the idea of appearing in movies and going out to bars as a wingman. he's not a fragile little thing who crumbles at the thought of sex or who doesn't know what a freaking period is. he's kind because he chooses to be, not because he's a pure innocent flower.
on that same note, bi-han is an asshole but he's also protective (even of tomas as he still asks if he's unharmed) and he respects women. he doesn't think they're beneath him, he doesn't call them whores and he wouldn't use a woman as an incubator until he got a son. if he ever had a little girl, he'd move worlds for her AND forge her into an amazing fighter.
i respect most headcanons but these ones have been bothering me for a year now. it's gross mischaracterization and i'm glad the dlc is setting the record straight somehow.

I had a very lengthy discussion with a friend about this moment. While we agree that this is rather impulsive and not well thought out, to be seriously honest, this is exactly what Bi-Han was meant to do. He was prepared for moments like this. This is what he was itching for. Where his purpose was fulfilled as a protector of Earthrealm. For plot purposes, no one else is making a move least of all Liu Kang (who, mind you, should). Bi-Han doesnโt think, not out of stupidity, but out of responsibility. He may have forsaken his oaths, denounced his purpose, but out of instinct, acts exactly as he was prepared to do.
Iโve been mulling a lot of things, scrutinizing every trailer, and trying to make sense out of everything. But, itโs a very poignant moment in Bi-Hanโs story (and character), that out of everyone present in that room, for one split second, he acts as he was always intended to do. Liu Kangโs line โThis is what you are meant to do. Defend Earthrealm.โ if, in fact, he is speaking this to Noob/Bi-Han makes so much more sense and has more meaning.
