Winston was harder to draw because his actual skills (ex-construction worker, ex-marine) wouldn't really come in handy around the firehouse, but there are several times in the comics where he's seen working on the Ecto-1, so mechanic Winston won out.

Jordon has lived in New Haven for over a decade and has memorized a majority of the city, this helps when Jordon has to go out heroing, it also helps when he needs to get home unnoticed due to his knowledge of shortcuts around the city.
