he feels your presence in the room and raised his gaze to meet yours. as soon as you approach him with tired eyes and opened arms, he mirrors your actions and you speed up towards him. he easily brings you unto his embrace and holds you tight, just the way you like it.

he comes home and without hesitating, he seeks you first. he drops his bag and kicks off his shoes by the door. he finds you half-asleep on the sofa waiting for him, and immediately lifts the comforter off you, earning him a soft whine. he slots himself in your arms and contentedly sighs, drifting off to sleep.

when his hands land on your arms, he is quick to pull you in and slow to let you go. arms going around your shoulders and your waist, his bigger frame soothes your frazzled mind, acting like a weighted blanket. he loves when you completely relax under his touch and ministrations, fighting back the urge to coo at you.

not the biggest fan of physical affection, but is somehow the one who enjoys it the most between the two of you. he won't ever admit it: he feels loved and appreciated when you hug him and comb your hands through his hair. definitely the type to play it cool when in actuality he's so down for cuddles.

this man is naturally clingy, he would not let you go. acts mock-hurt if you decide to leave his (very warm and comfortable) embrace. despite his silly antics, he can be quite the serious (and devoted) hugger. he holds you like you're his everything, as if you would disappear (you won't but wooyoung likes to be dramatic).

somehow he knows when you need the hug before you do. he is attuned to your emotions, so the moment your voice comes through the phone call, he interrupts you: telling you to come home ASAP so he can give you that hug. his hold is not tight, yet it encompasses you so that you can feel that he is hear with you, grounding you.

dare you say, hugging jongho feels like you're hugging a teddy bear. he finds it funny that you delight so much in just holding him. reciprocates your big bear hugs all the time, making sure to hold you tight to the extend you're laughing and smacking him to let you go. his hugs definitely recharge you when you need it the most

doyoung's heart beat in trepidation against his chest as he dials your handphone number for the third time that night. he was still coming from from his high, adrenaline pumping through his veins.

"where are you now?" he weaves through backstage, pressing the phone to his ear.

"i left."

he clicks his tongue, mumbling apologies before speaking to you, "i know you did. i had my eyes on you the entire time i was on stage." he paused to push the exit door, "are you nearby? i wanna see you, please."

the cool breeze of the night kissed his sweat-soaked skin as he awaited your response. he did know, however that your resolve was breaking with every passing beat of silence.

"i'm...sat at the nearby park. i'll wait for you." you hung up.

without a moment's hesitation, doyoung starts sprinting ahead, feet moving faster than his mind can even comprehend where you actually were. running like his life depended on it, he hangs onto the hope that he could officially tell you his feelings.

as soon as he spots you sitting by the curb of the playground, doyoung speeds up till he stands before you, huffing and puffing away.

"i wasn't...going anywhere. you didn't need to run here." you averted your gaze, and under the artificial street lights, doyoung think you couldn't look any better than this moment.

"i...know. i just wanted...to see you..." he catches his breath, slowly sitting down beside you. this curb you two were sat on has seen more memories than he could count: from the very first time he met you as a child in this park, to when you two skipped classes to chill here in the lazy afternoon sun, to the heart-to-heart talks shared in the late of the night.

"you left as soon as i ended." doyoung begins after a while, gathering his thoughts as he wiped his sweaty palms against his jeans, "did i...was i not impressive?" he felt small under your gentle gaze and you shook your head, "you were every bit of the performer you dreamt to be."

"then why did you go? i was..." he held back. he wanted to dedicate his own composed song to you, but the moment he saw you leave, his vision got crowded with the fans asking for an encore. he decides to continue, "i was hoping to catch you to tell you thanks for coming."

he rests his weight towards his right palm, leaning closer to you.

"i'm sorry." you blurted out and doyoung jerks his head towards you, eyebrows furrowing, "what are you sorry for?"

"you've gotten quite famous even with you own gigs and everything. look at you, you belong out there on the stage with the fans cheering your name. not with some...person like me."

"i don't care about that! tell me, did i capture your attention on stage?" doyoung reached over to grasp your hand, forcing you to look at him. the dim lights made your eyes sparkle and doyoung wishes he could read your mind this instant.

"of course." you replied with certainty and he pulled you into his embrace, "then that's all i wanna hear. screw those fans because...i was performing for you and you alone."

doyoung pulls away, not breaking eye contact with you, "that song? that was meant for you. it was meant to be a confession song for your ears to here, which was why i invited you to come today."

"i wanted to tell you that i love you."

the second the words left his lips, he almost immediately feels that thread snap in him. "i have loved you from the day we first met, and i've never stopped loving you ever since." he remembers the day he finally accepted his feelings for you, growing stronger with each passing day he spent with you. he remembers that worn-out notebook with heart doodles and some lyrics he penned down, definitely not forgetting the multiple voice recordings he saved to create the very song he played just for you today.

he hears you inhale audibly and he spots that uncertainty in your eyes, "don't say that. not when you're gaining popularity. i'm just gonna be a hindrance."

"i'm willing to do anything it takes to be with you. so, will you be mine?"

summary: heseung finds solace in the small (and sarcastic) things you do for him as a fellow dormmate

heeseung has been cooped up in the room, music score sheets scattered and strewn around him in addition to his computer application glaring brightly back at him. he registers the 2 quick knocks on his door through the sound playing from his headphones and he removes them. the songwriting and composing can wait.

upon opening the door, he spots a thermal bottle and a sticky note attached to it.

you were making so much noise yesterday, i got you this drink so you can make better music with that dying throat of yours - signed, your roomie

outside the sun has risen, he notes as he sips the herbal tea gratefully, warming up from the steam generated, he glances at your timetable on the wall by habit even though he knew you had 8am dance practice and had already left the house.

he flips the post-it over and finds more written by you.

i made too much sandwiches yesterday. throw it in the microwave and have it for breakfast. or leave it to grow mold in your gym bag just like the previous one. ew... - again, your roomie

for the first time in a few days, heeseung finds himself smiling at your letter.

despite the harsh words written, he feels the tea warming his insides at the memory of your utter shock and disappointment when he sheepishly pulled out a discolored toast from a week back, the very one he asked you to make one fine morning. shuffling back into his room, he files the post-it note away, just as he always has.

his phone dings softly atop his notebook and he spots another text from you. heeseung nearly chokes from the content of your message, smile widening even further. his fingers land on the screen as if he could physically pluck out the message and keep it with him.

you: don't forget that the mr "i expect everyone to be early" park is coming, so you better be on time you: i'm not covering for you again, okay??? you: i can see that you're online you dummy you: whatever. come to the company safely

he simply reacts with an emoticon, rolling his eyes when you left him on read. gazing at the clock, he unfortunately realizes you were right, he better get a move on if he wanted to avoid being tardy.

heeseung quickly freshens up, throwing on whatever clean clothes he has and slipping on his worn-out shoes. grabbing his gym bag, he hurriedly shuts the door close, making sure to check the lock again because you scolded him badly once.

he starts his light jog (he totally was gonna be late) towards the company a few blocks down, the headphones atop his head producing scratchy music from how long he's been procrastinating to change to a better one.

heeseung felt his phone buzz in his pocket, no doubt from you asking where he was, but he ignores it and speeds up just in time to make it to the crossing that was blinking green.

as soon as he enters the building, he taps in with his trainee pass and dashes for the staircase up to the dance studio. bursting through the doors, he makes eye contact with you first, before greeting the other trainees in the room, stashing his bag at the side of the room beside yours. the hair on the back of his neck stands and he just knows that you have your stare pinned on him.

the teacher steps into the room a mere second later and he pretends to look like he did not just arrive on the dot, nonchalantly stretching beside you. he spots the mirthless expression on your features, no doubt trying to hold back laughter as you fell into place with heeseung at the back of the class.

you whispered lowly amidst the warm up music blasting from the speakers, "glad to see you made it on time." the emphasis didn't go unnoticed by heeseung and he shakes his head. upon seeing the satisfied upside-down-smirk playing on your lips, he thinks he couldn't have asked for a better dormmate and friend.

"almost didn't if you hadn't knocked on my door."
