Himiko hasn’t fully woken as she wanders out in search for water, but as soon as she sees Jin, she can tell that he isn’t having a good night by the slump of the shoulders in his familiar silhouette. It also isn’t hard to guess that it’s likely his mind pulling him in about ten different directions that is keeping him up. It makes her sad to think that he has to deal with his own mind keeping him from rest along with everything else they deal with. 

“Why? Do I not look pretty enough?” She asked with a pout, dropping onto the couch next to him to rest her head against his shoulder as she reached to take his free hand in her own. After a moment she moves to look up at him. 

“I can get your mask if you need it. Or when I can’t sleep I like to think about my favorite people and what we can all do once we’re free from heroes and everyone keeping us from being happy.”

He didn’t expect to hear her voice in the middle night, his gaze moving from the open window he was looking out of as he brought his cigarette up to his lips, inhaling and exhaling slowly. It was a rough night—someone his mind was so restless and he would argue with himself in order to get another voice to stop—or he’d be so stressed out that sleeping felt like a chore.

Sometimes, life was hard. But the people here, the people like her, made it better. With a light motion of his head, Jin offered for her to sit with him.

“Rough night I guess. Wait, shouldn’t you be getting your beauty sleep!?”
