Tired of hearing worldly things…..

A woman’s beauty heals.

The bed breaks

in our room and I don’t fix it right away

because I’d rather write a poem,

and my wife still fucks me

like we’re listing on the Titanic,

and I think

of all the prissy women out there

who would demand

their husbands

go down to Home Depot,

and get to fixing,

and then trimming

the lawn,

but never fuck.

They just have an endless list of chores

with no fucking in sight.

Tonight I can write,

“the moonlight falls upon us,

and we sleep like angels

in the wreckage

of our desire.”

Can you say the same?
