"A Child’s View from Gaza" was an art exhibition showcasing drawings created by the children of Gaza.

"The captioned illustrations were created by Palestinian children who lived through the Israeli bombardment of Gaza in 2008-09. The pictures were drawn as part of an effort to help children deal with the horrors they had experienced. A Bay Area nonprofit, Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), arranged to display a collection of these pictures at the Museum of Children’s Art in Oakland, California. However, under pressure from the Jewish Federation of the East Bay and other organizations, the museum backed out of the agreement at the last minute."

One thing I'll never understand about Newgrounds centric communities is their desire to gatekeep the kind of art people want to make.

Like you do realize what Newgrounds is, right? The tagline is Everything by Everyone. Newgrounds was created with the intent on being a platform where any creator could post anything they wanted to and express their artistic talents freely.

Just because someone doesn't make gore filled violence cartoons doesn't make them someone who's "killing" Newgrounds. The only people killing Newgrounds and its culture are the people who feel the need to police other people's artwork.

Newgrounds has always been about freedom of creative expression, which yes that means you can draw Hank Wimbleton with a nonbinary pride pin or make them bisexual or make them gay. It means you're allowed to make them whatever's been deemed "cringe".

Because that's what Newgrounds IS. It's the ability to do whatever you want, however you want it, and if someone doesn't like it, you can respectfully tell them to fuck off.

Some of you don't miss what Newgrounds "used to be." You miss the period of internet history where you could be an unmitigated asshole without facing consequences.
