Interesting what people are taking away from S3, particularly the discourse around how Pen wasn’t properly romanced or courted “because she’s a mid-sized lead.”

Daphne was fake courted for weeks and then compromised and then denied a proposal.

Kate was all tension, turmoil and heartbreak and then compromised further.

Pen got:

- two stags locking horns over her affections,

- chased down in a carriage,

- a man on his knees for her begging her to see him as a prospect,

- the best (imo) “I have feelings for you and have no idea if you feel the same but I just need you to know it” speech since 2005 P&P,

- a very sexy and consensual, if compromising, romp in a carriage,

- FULL AND IMMEDIATE COMMITMENT WITH ZERO BULLSHIT because this man could not live one more second without her being his,

- defended to her mother,

- paraded around the ton and in front of her worst enemy’s face,

- the most utterly reverent sex scene in the history of the show,

- an engagement ring that matched his mother’s because of the parallel friends to lovers love story,

- and him constantly worried out of his mind that he wasn’t good enough for her

everyone's absolute flabbergasted expression will forever be my favourite like not only is she one of the richest women but she's also humble about it and not boasting when she could have. she's also the luckiest woman like hellllooooooo look at her!! she's clever, witty, funny, so beautiful, just married one of the most eligible men who's wrapped around her little finger, she's mama to the future lord featherington and she's stinking rich with a career as a columnist. she's barbie, they're all ken.

maybe season 3 was about Portia’s love story — the love she has for her daughters and how they all found love/men who adored them in spite of everything.

i swear, the Featherington ladies saved season 3 for me. if you’d told me i’d end up falling in love with them after watching season one, i would’ve said bullshit.

season 3 was absolutely about the Featheringtons and they absolutely stole the show- each one of them

Yes Eloise tearing up at Colin and Penelope's wedding was emotional and I cried with her, but why is no one talking about Prudence also tearing up.

That's her baby sister!! Marrying the love of her life!!! And despite all the nagging, she's so happy for her LIKE LOOK AT THAT PROUD BIG SISTER

I just love that this season had Penelope mending her relationship with her family as well. The Featheringtons (although none of them are Featherington anymore except Portia) were a delight this season, and always the most entertaining and funniest part of Bridgerton I don't care what people say, the show would lose a lot from their absence.

the way nobody deserves the iron throne. sorry, no targaryen or velaryan should be near it. they are all insane to some degree. they have dragons for no good reason. this is why dorne and the north want independence because they have to go a wedding where some brother-cousin and sister-aunt marry and then all go insane because their family tree is a circle. even the greens, who you hope would be normal are now bringing some religious cult. i know the realm is tired lol
