I wish more people realized that there’s no such thing as a romantic orientation that’s separate from a sexual one. Like if you’re “biromantic”… you are attracted to both sexes but in a non-sexual way? That’s just what being friends is. If it’s not sexual it’s platonic.

I tend to see the romantic labels paired with some variation of “ace” or “demisexual”. But being cautious about having sex with someone, even if you are attracted to them, is very normal. So is having a low sex drive. And if you are attracted to someone romantically that implies sexual attraction as well. It doesn’t make any sense to call yourself “blank romantic blank sexual” they are the same thing.

I have nothing against anyone who is truly asexual, but to me it seems like most of the people calling themselves that are still experiencing sexual attraction. Even if it’s low. And I don’t think that’s fair to anyone who is actually asexual and experiences none at all.

I just love gatekeeping in general. Like no I don't acknowledge you as asexual if you have sex and enjoy it. No I don't acknowledge you as a True Punk if you buy your clothes on shein. No I don't acknowledge you as a vegetarian if you eat chicken nuggets sometimes. No I don't acknowledge you as a lesbian if you date men. No I don't acknowledge you as OCD if you diagnosed yourself and believe intrusive thoughts are "step on that leaf lol". Words have definitions and there are certain criteria you need to meet in order to fit specific identities and labels. MAKE CALLING PEOPLE POSERS GREAT AGAIN‼️
