Synopsis: Being part of the Celestial Ball Planning Committee means more work and less time for things you love (and hate): no more recreational reading, spending time with your best friend and no more time with the annoying half blood seeker, Jeon Jungkook. But when Professor Burbage mentions your failing mark in muggle studies, you had to add Jeon Jungkook back to your schedule. 

Note: I just want to say, amidst everything happening around the world, we should all remember to take a breather if we need too. The first time you meet Jeon Jungkook, he tries to kill you. 

The forest of trees around you not only serves as a blanket for you, but it does the same for him as well. It’s how he’s able to sneak up on you so easily—shocking, especially considering everything: you, him, the circumstances, the situation, the war, the past—!

You, small and unrecognizable and fast, had a simple task for the day. You just needed to get in, meet up, and fulfill the plan you had spent months calculating in your mind. It was supposed to be so easy too. The directions you were given were confidential, yet straightforward. Good thing too. With the target on your back, everything needed to be such because the price for your capture made it such that people would stop at nothing to make sure you were killed, or worse: returned home. 

You reach the long narrow dirt pathway that matches the description previously relayed to you, recognizing the tiny symbols carved into the wood of the trees. You were close. Your eyes flicker left to right and don’t see or hear anyone coming up the path. In clear, you tighten the hood over your face and make your way down the path. You keep going, staying near the trunk of the trees, until you reach the one you’ve been looking for. The voice of instructions repeat in your mind. Tap once, twice, and do the bird calls we practiced. You cup your hands together, about to let out a breath before—! 

There’s a snap of the tree branches above you. You look up, gripping the knife at your side. You step back. 

“Hey—!”
