Hello, my name is Rose, and I am starting a new project.

There are no explicitly queer characters in the Redwall stories, because I am fairly sure that Brian Jacques forgot we existed. This is quite unfortunate, but he was old, and just because we weren’t written doesn’t mean we weren’t there. I will write about my philosophy on Redwall headcanons soon enough, but the way I see it I am at liberty to point out the queer characters who were overlooked.

This is all to say that I have started tagging things #queer redwall, and I graciously invite you to contribute

i had a bunch more redwall related dreams last night but the most interesting ones were slagar having to be used by this good guy group to go against vitch who had taken over the moon and threatened world domination. (also slagar was divorced??? and had kids one of which was deadpan artist???)

in another one a group of adventuring woodland creatures (squirrel, otter, a little vile girl, and a rat on thin ice) were stranded in the desert and were at risk of starving but the rat managed to find a bunch of apples before passing out because he almost drowned in sand.
