Also on the topic of proshipping, I think people should note that a good majority of proshippers are not only mentally unwell and need mental help, but were more than likely groomed by a proshit before them. Its weird just in general that we've normalized a 21yr old being besties with a 15yr old online, but it becomes even more dangerous when you have a normal, sane, decent adult old talking to kids so often that these impressionable kids are thinking they know internet safety and that they can trust the adults around them. Its shit like that that gets kids to trust the wrong people and then eventually become the wrong people themselves. Even a good adult can put a kid on a path to a bad one. Obviously thats not EVERY case, but you'll never catch me as a man in his twenties talking to a minor daily. That's also not to say you can't interact with a minor every now and then, like a post, draw a commission, debate video game lore, you just can't be out here talking to this kid so regularly that they don't know the difference between you, their friend of age, and their mother. Of course a child you've developed a bond with is going to think you can do no wrong and might even follow in your footsteps. Its just interesting how, in person, people are absolutely gonna bat at eye at a grown adult going on little playdates with a child, but when those age differences are converted into online spaces, people don't care as much?? What are these ableist cunts going to do when they caught IRL or online?? As an actually autistic person, this is a betrayal to the autistic friends they’ll make by doing this. Even if I didn’t know what radqueers were and I found out a friend of mine was faking being autistic and their explanation was “b-but I’m transautistic and I’m trying to transition to having autism 🥺” I would never speak to that person ever again.

The “transitioning” advice here is just “use stereotypes!” There’s no nuance here, it’s straight up ableism. Yes “stereotypical” autistic people exist but that’s just how their autism manifests, people are BORN with their autistic brain, that’s just how it’s been wired! But if you’re a neurotypical and want to have autism than I’m sorry you’re an ableist cunt that I’m going to stay the fuck away from.

People with substance abuse disorders are neurodivergent too.

People with tic disorders are neurodivergent too.

People with bipolar disorder are neurodivergent too.

People with dissociative disorders are neurodivergent too.

Neurodivergence isn’t just ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. (Plus those last two also get left out sometimes!) Neurodivergence is anything that affects your brain.

“Neurodivergent people hate loud noises” is actually just as valid as a statement as “neurodivergent people have delusions,” “neurodivergent people have tics,” or even “neurodivergent people have low empathy.”
