John, even after removing his damaged pellet, is not one for serious public displays of affection. This is less because he disliked them and more because he has a reputation to hold, and he know this. That being said if you are both together it’s not uncommon for the Spartan to have you walk close to him, which is a feat in itself and everyone knows that. When they see the two of you coming it’s always a mixed basket of reactions, though mostly ranging from surprise and envy.

You are both no stranger to the fact many people would love to be given a chance with the Master Chief; He would never allow this to happen. Unfortunately, this is the one of the only scenarios in which his word is less than respected. People seem to lack boundaries around the Spartan upon realizing that there is more under the armor than just an emotionless machine. So be prepared to send away love crazed fans that cross the line, for both your sakes, and theirs as well.

Even in a relationship it isn’t supremely common to see John without his helmet, both because he doesn’t usually let himself have downtime off the field, and because his armor makes him feel safe. On the rare occasions that you two are together, no armor, masks or anything in between, you’re more than ready to make up for the lack of contact. This usually involves talking or cooking together-… quiet a funny sight, a giant in the kitchen fumbling with tiny pans-… or the occasional date night, when John realized momentarily how fragile you are and how easy he could lose you.

In regards to the last point, sex with John is not common, but not impossible. While John considers himself to be asexual, he is not sex repulsed, and doesn’t mind participating in the act for the emotional intimacy it provides. Has a tendency to be a pleasure dom, which lends to his need for control over all the things in his life. He is the greatest at aftercare, and will make sure you are more than taken care of in the end.

Date nights normally look like long walks into the mountains together, occasional museum visits, and when John is feeling particularly perky he likes to attend the war games. This is particularly well because the Spartan never forgets important dates such as anniversaries and birthdays, even if he isn’t always sure what to get for you to see you smile.

While he never likes to admit it due to guilt, John really enjoys marking his partners. Both so that no one even thinks about touching them, and due to the pretty coloration that paints your skin when he does. The Master Chief has never owned anything of his own, so assuring him that you are his, it’s a different kind of high, one he finds it hard to come down from.

Random Halo idea;

Imagine you’re trying to get away from some creeps on the street and run up to one unsuspecting seven foot tall man, latch onto his arm and whisper beg him to pretend to be your boyfriend. He agrees, albeit confused and a bit worried but quickly identifies why you are so scared. His arm drapes around your waist as he walks you back to the compound where a Spartan in white armor approaches the two of you, leaving you confused-… at least, until she speaks.

“Master chief, sir.”

And all the sudden you’re paralyzed with more than just fear of the people that had been chasing you, but at the mortification of you practically begging the Master Chief to pretend to be your boyfriend, his arm around you feeling like fire as your face turns red.
