It started with Taehyung. It was a brief encounter that led to seeing him more often. You made your rent by working at a dumpling spot. It was tasty, you got free food and it helped you pay your bills so it was a win-win. He suddenly liked dumplings a little too much, always coming in with a mask and a hat like you couldn’t tell who he was. One day, before the shop closed he came in without a mask on like you would be shocked. But, you weren’t. Admittedly, when you first found out it was him your body began to wrack with nerves. Your body sensing him before you could even see him. But, by the time he came in without anything on his face you were used to it. Your back was turned to him as he called your name, his deep voice echoing through the empty dumpling spot. 

“Tae.” You called back for the first time, he was always ‘Sir’ until that day. You didn’t turn around, as if keeping your back to him gave you the upper hand. 

“You know who I am?” Your lips quirking up as you smiled into the steamer. Your head turned to him, his dark brown eyes sparkled as you smiled. 

“I do.” His box smile shined as he pulls out his wallet holding it up. 

“Can I order two portions?” You hummed playfully, your insides were jolting around as if you had been electrocuted. 

“For your girlfriend and you?” Everyone else had gone home for the day so your comments were safe in this space. Taehyung had frowned, his eyebrows furrowing as he clicked his teeth pulling out his black card. 

“I don’t have a girlfriend.” You smirk before filling up the take out containers. Your hands working as fast as your brain could allow before shutting off the steamers. The take out containers were placed in the to go box and your fingers lazily had brushed his as you grabbed his card. 

“I ordered two… I can’t eat this many.” He looked into your eyes as you charged his card. “So eat them with Jimin.” You quipped, his smirk was gorgeous as he leaned over the counter. 

“Jimin couldn’t appreciate them. Care to join me?”
