Another view on the Lovestruck debate

At first, I want to say, that I don't support incest, rape and especially not pedophilia. But since the discovery of the special interests of some Lovestruck writers and the following hate, I want to say something about this. I think, it's wrong that many of you judge the writers like this and I want to explain my opinion, so that some of you can think about it again.

At first, the writers are only humans. And humans have sexual fantasies, sometimes also unusual ones. They are just fantasies and just because somebody reads smut about rape or incest, it doesn't mean they support or even practice it themself in real life. Violent video games have the same debate and I think we are all in agreement, that you don't go out and shoot somebody, just because you like Shooters.

Also, as the post say's, a lot of that stuff was AU, so that the characters are aged up or not longer biological siblings. So they were not especially into incest or underage characters, they just liked these characters together. Also, even if they are not 18, they are still teenagers and can be sexual active, they are not immature children. So the most things in this post are not illegal. And what's with that double moral? The post is complaining about age gaps and father figures, but at the same time Lovestruck has wonderful characters like Lorelei or Razi with the same characteristics. And is anybody of you insulting Sarah Paulson or Ellen DeGeneres because of the age gap to their partners? Especially the LGBTQ Community should know better.

I want to say, just because some of the stuff looks shady, it doesn't mean some of the Lovestruck writers are bad persons or even support sexual harassment in any form. I know it must be shocking at first, but when you think about it more, the whole thing isn't that dramatical. With that debate, you just endanger the writers to get fired and the whole relationship between Lovestruck and freelance writers. Don't let this stuff destroy your experience with the game and especially don't destroy the experience for other players. It would be worse for both of them. The writers, cause they get money from writing and need it to pay bills or buy food. And the players, cause you should know how many of them play for therapeutic reasons. This whole controversy isn't helping anyone. And if this post have never have made up, the players, especially with traumatic experiances, wouldn't be in such a conflicted situation.

You can reblog this, if you want to support the writers, their freedom of self expression and freedom of speech. It's immature to judge about them without checking all the facts first and I want that everybody can read this second opinion. You don't need to like it, but if you keep harassing the writers for their private life, you maybe will help to destroy the game we all love
