Like generally anything with a fitted top would really suit you for a vintage/historical style if you want to go for a royal video look as Queen of The Funny Shipping Videos.

i don't know why but i feel like vintage fashion would suit you

It's cause I dress slightly more formally than I need to, it gives off vintage vibes. I'm not really into a lot of older styles tho, at least not the ones I think of when I think "vintage"

I see where you are coming from and you are by no means wrong (even though I never watched Volton, so I can’t say anthing about that),

but I wanted to add something:

There is always this phenomenon of people going overboard.

For example in the feminist movement there is the big majority of those who just want economical and social equal or just footing when it comes to the position in society.

But then a part of anti-feminists were out to claim that there was no need for that because other people have it worse, hence they see no need to change the issues that still occur in “less misoginistc” parts of the world.

And then came the overcompensation from the often so called “Femi-Nazis” who don’t want an equal or just system but rather turn the tables and opress men now or make up issues that were never there to begin with.

And I have seen that phenomenon in the LGBTQ+ community as well. Where (especially young) people make queercoding into queerbating or say their ship has to be canon because the actors have chemistry and everything else is homophobic.

Which then led to the very people you mentioned that overcompensate the other way and say that it should be enough if a gay character is there, even if they die/don’t have a love interest/are just an unimportant side character etc.

And I do not agree on the notion that a non-queer person can’t understand queerbating or even see/not see it, when even the queer community isn’t alway on the same footing with this. BUT a true ally will not tell you that you should be alright with what you see as queerbating, no matter if they agree with you or not, because they will never understand it on a level a queer person will.

Because a true ally is just happy that there is more (good) content for more people. It’s not like they are in any way inconvieneced in their daily lifes if there is another show with more than one gay character that’s maybe even in a happy relationship. And if they are unhappy about more content, then they are not a true ally.

why do cishets think they can tell us that a show didn't queerbait us?

you cant act like an ally and then say shit like "not everyone has to be gay" and "not everything is about ships" and "this character was canonically gay and ended up with someone so thats enough"

we get called immature, petty and childish for wanting to be properly represented. we are allowed to be angry for that. yes we might have our ships but those ships make us feel represented. they make us feel like our identities are valid

all our lives we've been told that being cis and het was the norm. lgbtq+ people are rare and therefore we put the attention to the cishets. but thats not the truth. people think us lgbtq+ people are rare for two reasons: homophobia and the fact that we are too scared to come out because of lack of representation

we are not petty for having the need to see characters like us on tv. everyone finds comfort in seeing themselves in fictional characters relating makes the watching more enjoyable after all. but how can we relate when no one goes through our struggles our thoughts? how can we be comforted when those characters, if existent, never get happy endings or live happy lives?

take voltron for example, the show most famous for its queerbaiting yet i still find people that deny that fact

if they didnt queerbait us then why did the sole gay character of this show had his first love interest die before even having him explored huh?

why was he treated like shit the entire show? he was gone for a year tortured, joined a war where he had to be the adult and the leader and be calm for a bunch of teenagers, died and had no one even know, was stuck in another relm, replaced by a clone, came back to life after hurting his family, only to come back to find out his fiancee was dead

why were we given so many hints that another character was gay only to be given hints that there could be a romance with a female character towards the end?

why was the only wlw relationship between two villains and was never explored or specifically mentioned that they were indeed dating?

why was the show's number one ship advertised given so many scenes that paralleled those of canon ships only to have them never be canon or even confirmed to be lgbtq+?

yeah i dont think so. you cant have a character end up with a dude that was barely in the show and call it representation. you have to build that shit. lgbtq+ themes werent even presented or mentioned. so no cishet person im not ranting because im a "delusional fangirl" or "just another obsessed shipper"

im ranting because im a queer person that has been wronged, queerbaited, and shown that gay people have to go through shit and lose everything and then maybe i will get a happy ending. i had my sexualitybe treated like an extinct animal

gay people exist and they keep hiding because people like you make it seem like we are not worth your time or just everything that is wrong with earth

so even if you are an ally, even if you agree with what im saying, you cannot say what is queerbait and what is not, you cannot talk about your opinions on subjects that do not concern you, you can only support us who are affected

Very ironic that both the villains and the kids are those who think they are responsible to take action but the stable adults are those who should be doing this are either not seeing anything wrong with the system, want to change something for the wrong reasons, justify their crimes and keep using the children for their work while declaring a bunch of abuse victims the root of evil, instead of the society they are supporting which lead to the victims becoming villains.

Me: just answer everything the way Spinner would.

Result: Spinner.

Me: fair enough, that’s what I wanted. But why are most of those answeres the stuff I would have taken anyways?

i finally made a uquiz so let me assign you a lov member based on vibes™ alone

Me: complete agrees with you.

Me remembers this from a Spinner Fan:

https://sethmacenzie.tumblr.com/post/645901722633584640/i-just-had-to-laugh-at-your-post-spinner-is-my

The people commenting on Spinner's appearance, especially regarding ships and stuff are always funny cuz, like,

Congratulations!

The "Creature Rejection Clan" would probably love you, lol.

"He's a lizard"

"He's ugly"

"It's not normal"

Hmm, interesting. I wonder where I've heard that before.

Like, people with heteromorphic quirks literally had to fight for their right to live and be considered humans (the discrimination is still there tho, given Spinner's backstory and the fact that most of the people who invaded the USJ has mutant quirks)

And then some of y'all go "Well, he's not really human you know he's a lizard so it's not normal but gross and blah blah blah"

I dunno, just saying.

Bunch of adults still have learned nothing. Sounds about right within their characters.

Why find a way to deal with things properly when you can do that same thing you’ve been doing for years: sending children at the front lines to deal with shit the system the adults are part of, support and refuse to see the mayjor flaws in it is at fault for.

EVEN AFTER THEY STARTED DOING WHAT????  USING DEKU AS WHAT?????? p.s. ‘you know deku knows this and probably agreed to be used as a bait, right?’ HE IS A CHILD. THEY’RE USING A 16 YEAR OLD CHILD AS A BAIT FOR  MASS MURDERERS, SHARON
