Today Supreme Archangel Aziraphale summoned up every last bit of courage and bravery he had, and took the Heavenly lift down to Earth. Today marked the five year anniversary of the No-pocalypse, and Aziraphale wondered (hoped) that perhaps Crowley might thinking of him, too.

He first went by the bookshop, only to find it closed, empty, and in darkness, Muriel nowhere to be found. He then went to Crowley's flat in Mayfair and dithered for several minutes, mumbling to himself, before finally rapping on the door.

There was no answer.

He waited for over an hour, feeling increasingly stupid, then slowly returned to the lift with a sinking feeling in his stomach. As he ascended to Heaven, Aziraphale mused that if Crowley wanted to speak to him, he'd probably have known about it by now.

The lift doors slid open and he blinked wetly in the face of blinding white lights, cold and sterile.

Well, he thought. That's that then.

Today is Saturday and their anniversary of Nah-pacalypse. It's been five years since the world didn't end. It's been just over one year since Aziraphale left on the lift. They always had a standing reservation for their table at the Ritz, and they had gone every year to celebrate with a toast to the world. Crowley didn't have the heart to cancel it, but he didn't want to go. So he drove to the Ritz and glared in the window to make sure no one else sat at their table today. And he might have miracled a few pastries to burn, too.

Aziraphale felt the cool metal of the pole against her hand as she strutted in a circle in the center of the raised stage. The dim lights didn’t allow her to see the faces watching as she danced but she knew they were there by the money being thrown on stage and occasionally tucked into her panties. She had already finished two lap dances and gone through most of the songs on her set. Most of the customers had been fine but there were always a few that got too rowdy, and tonight was no different. She was exhausted by the time she left the stage. The song came to an end and she scooped up her bra and tips from the stage as she walked back to the dancer’s area. She clipped on the white lace and slipped a soft pale blue sweater dress over her head before walking out and taking her seat at the bar. “What’s your poison tonight, angel?” She smiled leaning against the bar.
