For Writers:
Reblog if it’s okay for your followers to leave you an ask telling you what the one thing is they remember you for as a writer. Is it a scene or a detail or a specific line? Is it something like style or characterization? Is it that one weird kink they never thought they’d be into, but oh my god wow self-discovery time?

Sometimes we also run out of ideas as well. I find that to be one of my biggest ongoing issues.
Just a reminder that fanfic authors don't owe you anything.
Sometimes updates are going to take fucking forever.
Sometimes fanfic writers are gonna stop writing because the fandom/story/etc. no longer brings them the same joy.
Sometimes books aren't gonna get finished.
and while It's okay to feel heartbroken or upset that these things have happened, you need to remember that these people aren't being paid for what they do. They're not gaining anything that means they have to finish what they started. They're doing this because they find joy in it
and sometimes that joy fades.
Daryl Dixon x Reader
The summer sun kissed your skin as you walked down the street, crossbow in your hands with an arrow loaded, ready to take down walkers or other humans if necessary. Nothing could be heard except the birds chirping, and gravel crunching beneath your feet. You then slow to a stop, and take out your canteen, taking a few sips of water, before continuing to wherever the hell you were going.
A few minutes passed and a motorcycle could be heard in the distance. You race to hid behind an abandoned car, not willing to be killed or kidnapped. The roar of the motorcycle got louder as it got closer to you. You put your finger on the trigger of your crossbow, ready to fire if needed.
Soon you heard the motorcycle come to a stop not far from the car you were hiding behind. Heavy footsteps were heard approaching the car you were behind. Soon a man popped out right in front of you, and you both quickly raised your crossbows, pointing directly at each other.
“Who are you?” The man asked, his crossbow still pointing at you. “Y/N, and you?” “Daryl Dixon” was his response. Slowly, you lowered your crossbow, realizing the man wasn’t gonna hurt you. If he was, he would’ve done it by now. Daryl also lowered his crossbow.
It was silent for a minute before he spoke up. “You got a group?” You shook your head no. It went silent again before he started asking questions. “How many walkers have you killed?” “Too many to count” “How many people have you killed?” “One” “Why?” “They uh, got bit and asked me too.” Darly nodded, pleased with your responses.
“I got a group not too far from here if you’d like to come.” You nodded, and followed him to his motorcycle. He hopped on first, you climbing on behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist.
The two of you took off not long after, heading towards what would become your new home.
I love this
incorrect topgun: maverick quotes pt. 327
-adopted mitchell!reader talking to mav-
y/n: dad, i think i'm gonna get my pilot's license. i've already got a driver's license and a cosmetology license, that's two of the big five licenses.
mav: the big five licenses?
y/n: driver's license, cosmetology license, pilot's license, fishing license, and… license to kill! i can't wait to get that one.

This means a lot, thank you!
Jacob Black x Reader (this is just for jokes)
Walking towards the edge of the cliff, you sat down and let your legs dangle over the edge. You watched the waves crash against the shore, letting the sound calm you and bring a sense of peace after the long day you had.
School had been nothing but stressful and your dad didn't help any. He made you help him build the shed for his private times to do god knows what. It pissed you off, but you didn't feel like arguing so you did what you were told to do and then drove off in your truck right after.
Being alone always helped calm you after a long day. Sometimes you'd be with another person, Jacob to be exact, but today you wanted to be alone. Though, you were only alone for about half an hour before Jacob showed up. He sat right next to you and didn't say anything at first, enjoying the view alongside you.
"You seem upset. What happened?" You sighed and glanced at him. "School. School happened. And then my dad forced me to help him build his stupid shed that I'm not even going to be allowed in." He only watched you as you ranted. He could see how much the day had affected you.
After you finished ranting, he pulled you into his chest. You nuzzled your face into him, letting yourself finally relax after a tough day.
"Y/N, I-I have something to confess and I'm not entirely sure how you're gonna take it," He had said. You looked up at him from your position against his chest with concern and motioned for him to keep going. "You know how I'm a wolf and we imprint on our soulmates, right?" You nodded, waiting for him to continue.
He pushed you away gently to look into your eyes. Behind his, you found nothing but love, and slight fear as he looked at you. Your head tilted to the side in confusion, but you still said nothing. He sighed and brought a hand up to cup your cheek. You instinctively leaned into it.
"Y/N, I-how do I say this? You're my imprint." Your eyes widened, and he looked at you with worry. Then a wide grin made its way across your face, and you pulled him into a kiss. He immediately wrapped his arms around you, and pulled you closer.
"Thank god because I'm madly in love with you Jacob Black." He chuckled and kissed you again. "And I'm madly in love with you, too Y/N Y/L/N."
