Sorry for being weird, I don't know how to interact with people

Unfortunately realism isn't always an option. If I can't hope things will get better, why should I bother? If all of this stuff keeps happening and LGBT+ people lose more and more rights, why should I bother living a miserable life? We were making progress, and now suddenly it's all gone in a short few years. I don't see a future for us, much less myself as a trans person. I don't want to have to keep fighting in to old age. I want to be able to just live my life.

Put your hope and action into solutions that have promise. Hoping that Joe Biden, at 80 years old, will go “gloves off” on anything progressive is wasted energy. He ran his Presidential campaign on “nothing will fundamentally change.” Believe him. Now put your energy behind activists and people truly dedicated to progressive change.
