Thinking about how the ancients just assumed everyone and everything would wish to ascend - as the lore seems to suggest the iterators' final purpose was to ascend every living thing, and not just the ancients. Holding the assumption that they would wish to ascend, projecting. Destroying the ecosystem for the purpose of doing it a favor it never asked for.

And how Five Pebbles seems to align with this assumption and instructs any little thing entering his decaying can to go ascend. But Moon doesn't. Moon asks you to come by again, if you're nice to her. And how you could interpret this as Moon being selfish, or as there being a divide even amongst the iterators about whether their creators were in the right. Pebbles, who is appreciative of his citizens and their culture, versus Moon, who is bitter towards them and refers to them as "parasites".
