cat enthusiast here! the newborn kits look different than their older counterparts to mimic real life cats, markings become more apparent as a kitten grows :)

i know!! it just makes them so hard to recognize for me

a big tabby cat is looking down at a newborn kitten, "Aww, what a cute little baby!" they say. one moon later. "who are you?!" says the cat looking at the older kitten

i have horrible recognition skills, i keep getting so confused :(

Osprey Star wants to get to know Sleepy Roach better

After having Sleepy Roach challange them, Osprey Star commands Whimsy Dapple to help them punish Sleepy Roach. Everyone ends up hurt, though Osprey Star feels like they can trust Whimsy Dapple more. (negative effect)

there are two ways this could have went down. way one:

Osprey Star thinks, "i want to know that guy better," while watching Sleepy Roach clean himself.
"hello!" Oprey says.
"[beep] off!" Sleepy says back, upset. words that read, "challenging words" are being pointed to the text.
"Well [beep] you too then. wife, help me beat this guy up!" Whimsy Dapple is seen in the background, labled as also bloodthirsty. in asterisks are the words "cracks nuckles," as that is what she's doing.

way two:

blood is all over the rocky floor. Sleepy Roach is panting, looking down at the blood beneath him. Osprey is looking at Sleepy, thinking, "Dang, this guy's good. I should get to know him better."
