ok but picture this:

yoonmin fake marriage au

yoongi is an up and coming rapper who blew up in korea and is now trying to make it big in the states

he’s getting pretty popular and his manager Jin is flooded with interview requests and tv appearances

at the same time, jimin’s studying abroad in America

now these two have been good friends since they were in high school

they never dated but they do have history

now jimin has a problem: as an international student his schol refuses to give him any financial aid unless he has a child, is married, or is 24. he’s only 21, he can’t really have a kid, so he has to get married.

that’s where yoongi comes in the picture

see gay marriage is legal in their state so it works out. also jimin doesn’t know anyone else well enough to ask 

so even though they haven’t really talked in years since yoongi’s gotten so big, jimin has to at least try, right? he needs that financial aid pretty bad

he texts him not expecting anything at all. surprisingly, yoongi’s up for it

part of the reason is because jin thinks it could bring some good publicity (rapper from korea who’s in a gay marriage? talk about a headliner) but also because he hasn’t seen jimin in so long. 

truth be told, he misses the days when they used to hang out almost daily back in high school and his few years of college before he dropped out

now the deal jimin proposes is that they’re married long enough to have the financial aid granted (”i think it’ll be a couple of months at max”) and yoongi’s all for it (”yeah we’ll just be 2 gay dudes getting a divore”

what they didn’t sign up for is falling for each other in the process)
