It is different in a couple ways

firstly, the method behind the mixes was basically vein diagrams in 8th dimensional space, while this is using AI (bad difference)

second, the AI playlists can be anything not just generes (good difference)

I don't like these features because they encourage the user to rely on spotify for their music discovery and curation, rather than themselves/their friends/what the store sells.
