3DS Thoughts
I love the system so far and I anticipate a lot of cool/strong titles coming out for it (the main reason getting it being the games, rather than the titular 3D gimmick.. I'm still honestly happy with my DSi), but the 3D effect makes my eyes do a nauseating backflip due to my amblyopia. (it doesn't function as two distinctive vision sensors in regards to direction because my right eye follows the focused left, so my depth perception is kind of awful and doesn't work well with the screen's parallax barrier) It's more comfortable when I leave the 3D effect off.
Ironically, even if my eyes have that condition, apparently many fellow art-focused people have something similar, which actually benefits them when drawing pictures on 2D surfaces (screens, paper), the truncated degree of depth perception helps them put lines to the surface more "accurately" than a person with better depth perception. It's really interesting how that works, I think.
I got two titles for the 3DS! Luigi's Mansion, which I've been playing on and off (it's a lot like the first, but it integrates a lot of new gameplay elements that keeps it fresh) and I finished Layton 5 (Miracle Mask), recently. oh my god, so many feelings, it was so good, but I got spoiled for this game really badly, so I expected most of the major plot twists... it still didn't make the story any less sad, but I hope I can fanart for it someday.
Now I'm just waiting on some commission payment so I can get Animal Crossing: New Leaf and play with friends, aww jeah.

I found these 2 sketches while organizing my folders, these are 2 illustrations of 5 (the other 3 are pretty sloppy/have to touch up on) of a dream I didn't want to forget- The dream in a nutshell, is that my region got flooded in water and I had to escape the tsunami, but after travelling beyond the disaster, I had to go back home to retrieve something valuable that I forgot.

Chase and I were looking at this photo of a glasswing swallowtail and he pointed out that the bottom of its wings looked like legs... so I just drew what he described he saw

Yay , finally some character development for Magnus ;( aka my witchsona (which he sort of branched off and became his own character, I think). I've been meaning to draw him more.
I see him more as a foil character than anything - even though he's capable of producing his own stunning shows/tricks, his role is more or less, to bring out the best in other people and gives them advice tailored to their specific situation, and helps them seek their true selves out.
He is optimistic, level-headed, eloquent, and patient, keeping a strict balance between extroverted/introverted (can be loud/quiet when appropriate). The transparency and temperature of his prism head is an indicator of his present demeanor.
