Christmas Wish List / Regina Thoughts
Christmas Wish List / Regina Thoughts
Number 1:
Every time I see Regina make an entrance I keep thinking of the scene in Megamind where Megamind explains to Titan that he may be a villain but he's not super-villain.
Hook/Rumple/Bad Guy: This town isn't big enough for two super-villains! Regina: Oh, you're a villain all right! Just not a super one! Hook/etc.: Yeah? What's the difference? Regina: Presentation!
Number 2:
I keep thinking about two conversations between Rumple and Regina. The first about how taking someone's heart lets you control them. I think the words are "control the heart and you control everything". Then thinking about his conversation with Henry that went "once you control something you need not fear it". Then I flash to Regina taking Graham's heart, Regina being married to the King, and Regina ordering Graham taken to her bed chambers. Hmmm...

Random question, does Regina ever say the curse was never real or just that it wasn't true now? It may just be semantics but I always got the impression that everyone having only memories of being in Storybrooke made what was happening at that time true. Without magic none of them would regain their memories making who they used to be not who they are. Making what was not what is. For example: Snow White was cursed into Storybrooke, Mary Margret is Mary Margret.

Once Upon A Lie
This just makes me think of a Lion King AU Crossover where Rizzles are Simba and Nala, while their daughter Kiara is Emma Swan and Kovu is Regina Mills. Someone please write this!
CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT (RIZZLES) Just awesome.
I just realized someone had to tie Lana to the tree... I retroactively vote JMo.

I’m not sure who made this but I haven’t seen it before. Great gif!
What if there were no long lasting consequences? How many times would she have hurt/injured/killed people knowing that the next day everyone and everything would be reset? Do her conversations with people also 'undo' themselves? How long could she remain sane and aware of reality when stuck in an endless 'groundhog day' loop?
The Curse and Consequences
Welcome to Storybrooke gave me a new perspective on Regina’s relationship with Henry. We saw in the episode that every day in Storybrooke was a loop for Regina; small things could go differently, but everyone was really on a script of sorts. For example, Ruby would argue with Granny every morning, and the argument would revolve around Ruby’s wild-child ways, but it wouldn’t be the exact same words every morning.
If we know that the same scenarios will happen every day, then Regina was essentially living in a consequence-free world. Even when she looked at Archie in disdain and said “Save it,” she knew the next morning Archie would greet her pleasantly all the same. Her words and actions had no lasting effects.
Regina lived this way for eighteen years. For eighteen years, there were no consequences that would last longer than the day’s end. We even saw this with the Kurt and Owen situation. I’m assuming Kurt was locked away, meaning Regina didn’t have to deal with him, and Owen couldn’t get back in the town. Even though Regina’s heart was a little broken from the entire situation, her standing in the town remained in-tact, she received no hard questions about her actions, and it didn’t affect her relationship with any citizen of Storybrooke.
