Marius could only laugh, his smile never wavering even in the face of Daniel's bad attitude. He was used to it by then, after all the tabloids would call them an on and off couple if they ever caught wind. Even though that couldn't be further from the truth. They were just two men who hooked up now and again, and Marius liked to use that fact to tease Daniel at every available chance.

"Only for you, love," Marius hummed quietly, keeping his voice down between them as he took a sip from his glass, "Certainly doesn't make you any less of a good boy, however."

The mention of Simon made him raise an eyebrow, however. If there was one thing he, and really anyone who dared to spend even more than a minute with Daniel, knew, it was that he really hated his brother. "Why? Trying to look out for your dear brothers heart? I'm surprised at you. I knew you were a softie deep, deep down."

There was little point in arguing further. Or rather letting Daniel fuss further. Marius had his fun, more than enough really, but that was enough. He just had to get home and get ready for his shift. He watched Daniel storm out past him, even holding the door open for him, completely unfazed as Daniel continued to berate him for all to hear. A woman walking past had to stop and step aside to avoid literally running into Daniel. She just blinked in confusion and turned her attention to Marius.

"Hate to see him go but love to watch him leave," he said with a laugh, winking at her, "Sorry about that, love. He gets cranky in the morning. And I am certainly not that desperate."

The woman just nodded slowly, giving a laugh before continuing to walk, "Right."

Marius shook his head a little and walked off on his own. He took his phone out after a few steps, scrolling through his contacts to find one person he was looking for. Calling his mother was certainly out of the question, but he at least had one friend who didn't judge him, "Hey, Lulu, you working tonight?"

"Oh, Marius - yeah, what's up? Not until later, closing tonight."

"Brilliant, listen - I need a ride. You mind picking me up?"

There was a laugh on the other side, "I'll be right there."

"Cheers, thanks."

"Now, Danny, you should know green really isn't your color." It was interesting to him how much Daniel talked about his brother, despite hating him so much. Especially considering Simon himself didn't say nearly as much about Daniel. Even bringing him up just made the other sad. Whatever happened between them clearly affected them both differently.

But before Marius could say much else, even retort back against the bitter flirting, Daniel continued to try to insult him. Marius just pouted, playfully trying to act like he was offended or hurt by his words. Maybe the alcohol was starting to get to him a bit, the one in his hand hadn't been his first of the night after all. Or maybe he just liked to push Daniel as much as he could. If Frankie caught him he would certainly get a lecture on appearances.

"Are you ashamed of me, Danny?" Marius hummed, tilting his head to the side as he continued to pout, "Or are you just worried for me now? First your own brother... Now my reputation. I'd say you're turning into a right gentleman at that rate," he smirked as he raised his glass, drinking down the last bit that was in it, "Besides, dont you know already? Another story about my love life is just another branch on the fire. Sure, it paints me in a certain light, but, mm..." He leaned up on his tip toes to bring his face closer to Daniels, "I rather like to keep them on their toes. More that way, yeah?"

 “My brother apparently does fine on his own. Securing a movie I wanted. Attempting to schmooze with real stars.” Daniel’s turning the subject away from Marius’ failed tormenting. It IS torture to listen to some dish washer who suddenly made it big on the silver screen. Whoever dug Marius up must have been desperate. Hardly matters if he comes equipped with a Greek God aesthetic does it?

“Lucky for you I’m never good. Not really.” A bit of bitterness edged into seductive territory even for Daniel. A man who gets paid to do literal adult fare surely can pick up on someone’s witty flirtations. Rather die than give Marius any credit for it but two can play those games.

Daniel reached over to pluck that gregarious pink umbrella from Marius’ drink. “Can you reek anymore of gay? Or is it bougie bitch we’re wearing tonight? Those photographers would love to dig the dirt on your love life I assume. Fancy how fun that’d be if they noticed us.” As if the taint of p.ornography could downsize Marius Northall’s newfound career after starring as a transvestite from another planet. @stvrlyte // prev
