History major Michael Lamble, widely known on Northwestern's campus as "Kilt Guy," is a Middle Ages reenactment actor. Students have been known to gauge winter chills by whether or not Lamble dons long underwear.

Feature: Brian Earl, 21, administers a dose of insulin before having a midnight snack of ice cream. He was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at age 16 and must monitor his blood sugar levels before every meal.


Painting inspired by and created for my roommate Laura Whittenburg, who gives invaluable advice.
Our plans for the future made us laugh and feel close, but those same plans somehow made anything more than temporary between us seem impossible. It was the first time I’d ever had the feeling of missing someone I was still with.
