I was high off my ass last night and had this dream where I was in this dense ass forest and sitting there was a tall woman. “He’s beautiful, don’t you think?” Those were your first words to George when he first walked into the room, after hours and hours waiting outside anxiously worrying about you and the child. You two had agreed to do a home birth, something George had quite an opinion about, but seeing you so adamant about it, he couldn’t help but agree. The midwives came as fast as they could when George called them in haste as you had your first heavy contraction.

And now here he was, standing dumbfoundedly at the doorframe, mouth agape at the small bundle in your arms. George was speechless, his heart was beating ridiculously fast at the realization that suddenly dawned onto him the moment he heard the cries of a baby for the first time.
