Fahrebach
A story which I’ve been working on for a while now but haven’t done much for
“You don’t have to forgive me but please don’t forget me.”
Prologue
I can feel my world trembling again. This time it’s not the buildings collapsing like 20 years ago which took the peace amongst amongst all with it. This time it’s my heart, which with each shake of my body and shouting begins to shatter.
“Tell me!” Zha continues shaking my body.
“Tell me you didn’t. Deny it!”
Opening my eyes slowly I let out a heavy sigh. “You want me to lie to you? Weren’t you the one who held me an entire lecture about how bad lying is?”
“Why? Why did you do it?„ She screams directly in my face. I always wanted to see her other side.In which she’s holding in all her anger. I wanted her to drop her facade and let it all out. Now that I'm the cause for her outburst...I don't like it.
I betrayed her, I betrayed the woman I love.
"Lillia talk to me!„
I can't. Nothing is coming out. I just stare.
While staring at this woman right infront of me, thousands of memories replay in my head. With her.
I never deserved those happy moments. But fuck! This one time in my life I thought I did. It felt like my life isn't as fucked up as I thought.
I thought I'M not fucked up.
But once again the tables have turned.
"I-I'm sorry.„ Her grip around my shoulders tightens. "I betrayed you.„
"Why did you do it?„ She repeats. Her voice almost breaking this time.
"I'm sorry."
"Lillia-„ She’s being stopped by the door getting kicked opened. "There she is! Zha give her to us, we must get rid of her. She doesn't belong here.„
Ignoring the headquarters behind her, her eyes stay on mine.
"Please-„A gun shot. My eyes open wide, my heart beating as fast as ever. I'm not even worried about my own safety, only hers.
"Zha this is our last warning, give her to us or we must put violence towards you and her.„
"Zha listen to me baby. Whatever is gonna happen...don't forget me please, ok? Promise me.„
I crack a small smile at her.
"You don't have to forgive me but please don't forget me.„
"Ok, that's it! Zha back off!„ Looking behind her I see Cedric, the assistant of Fohrebachs king,Devian.Even him I betrayed. Cedric, the closest figure to a father in my life.
"It's ok. I need you to step aside. I don't want you to get hurt.„
"No. No! I don't want to!„ She got so stubborn.
I grab her face in both of my hands. "Please don't make it even harder. Remember it's all my fault. You should be mad at me. Take all this anger out on me, I deserve it. That way it would be much easier.„
"I-I can't.„
"Ok, that's it!" Cedric and his team got closer to us without hesitation. Ready to do anything just to take me down.
I gave Zha one last smile.
"I love you.„
With that I push her towards the men with all my strength.
Seeing them collapse, I take my chance and jump off the balcony.
Ready to leave everything behind.
