So I’ve been seeing some stuff online and wanted to speak my mind. And I like the post above so I wanted to add on.

I understand that not everyone is happy with the outcome, but you have to give the actors credit where it is due. This was a touching scene and means so much to so many people. Yes, it does suck because Cas died right after confessing hi love, but it is the end of the series. There is going to be character deaths, especially important characters. Also, the SPN writers have a history of killing off characters and not doing it that well. You can pretend it didn’t happen like Phantom Planet from DP, but it is and you know it. I know people are also upset about the “queerbating” thing, but here’s the thing: they didn’t queerbate shit. Destiel was literally an idea that FANS came up with. Time and time again, the cast and crew of SPN said nothing about their relationship as it was never that important. Now we know Castiel’s true feelings and you’re mad? Grow up.

Some people are mad because Dean “didn’t react to Castiel’s confession or his death”. Are you shitting me? If you haven’t seen it, there is actually a picture of the script floating around, and it literally says that Dean doesn’t physically react much to the information. Wanna know why? Cause that’s the kind of person Dean is. He doesn’t do emotion. That’s literally part of his personality and his character. The point is that he is overwhelmed with emotions and he doesn’t know how to handle them. How would you react to one of your closest friends confessing their love for you and then dying? Pretty similar I’d imagine. Also, at the end of the episode, he breaks down, not answering Sam’s call. Whether he loved Cas the same way Cas did him doesn’t matter because even if he didn’t, he obviously loved Cas like a close friend and considered him a part of his family.

I will admit that the writers could have done better with the timing as Cas does instantly after telling Dean he loves him, but it’s their show. Don’t like it? Don’t watch it. As a member of the lgbtq+ community (I do not speak for all of us, only myself) I give the writers points for making the scene slightly realistic. They didn’t make the boys make out or suddenly they both get away and live. The writers made a ballsy move and there are still a few more episodes to come. Don’t lash out at the people for doing their job.

I don’t know if it’s just me who has mixed feeling on Destiel because I am beyond happy it became canon but I also am not the biggest way of the way it became canon like the whole Cas dying right after

How many angst/slow-burn fics have you read where this same thing has happened? The only difference is with a fic you’ve got tags to help console you. You’ve got more chapters to reassure you... etc.

With this, you have to have faith in the characters and in Dabb. Since Cas specifically had an episode where he spoke about his “renewed faith”(15x15)—not in God, but himself and his family—I think you can have faith in them too. It’s scarier for sure. Yeah, there’s a long history in media of burning lgbt+ characters, (hell season 10 burned me so bad I never thought I’d get over it!) but Dabb hasn’t since he took over. And Misha wouldnt. And it was too easy for them to have never addressed it and let it die bitter with me and all the old guard instead. But they didn’t.

That’s sooooooooo important.

Listen, if you need to protect yourself from possible disappointment, please do so. But just know that I never go out on a limb on blind faith. I think the facts speak for themselves. I don’t think you need a background of literary analysis to see that they’ve been building to this HAPPY ENDING all season.

stop being mean to dean. i, too, just stared ahead blankly the whole time that cas was speaking because my brain was short circuiting and i couldn’t say anything for about an hour and a half. so that repressed motherfucker would’ve needed approximately 5-7 business days before he could’ve reacted to that and he got ONE MINUTE.

Au where Danny Phantom arrives in the BNHA universe, gets mistaken as a villain, and fights Endeavor. So we're back to a literal 40 year old fighting a teenager again which really isn't that different from fighting Vlad except with less drama and way more fun.

Danny enjoys putting out Endeavors extra beard flames using his ice powers. So then there's this white haired glowing teenager with the occasional blue eyes throwing down with the Number 1 Hero and eventually Danny is seen using green flames.

Someone then points out that Phantom is actually Endeavors secret child because of the white hair, blue eyes and ice and fire powers.

Danny being the little shit that he is calls Endeavor Dad just to spite him.

15x18 Despair (SPOILERS!!)

There’s something I need to get off my chest about the most recent episode and how people are reacting to it. Now in my opinion the divide between Destiel shippers and those who prefer that the relationship between Castiel and Dean is and stay completely platonic can be likened to the divide between US republicans and democrats supporters. The arguments seem to be never ending, and if I didn’t have requests to fill and a Series to fix, I would probably stay off tumblr for a year. I honestly would have been happy with either ending, and I’m sitting here watching WW3 start all because of a declaration of love. 

1. For those who are disappointed in Dean’s reaction/Jensen’s performance, did you really expect Dean to say “OMG I love you so much Cas, you’re the light of my life”? He’s never even said a direct “I love you” to Sam, the only time he’s allowed himself to be that vulnerable was when he said he loved Sam for trying to save him in 14x11 (Damaged Goods) or of course when he talked about hell (but that’s a little different). He keeps his emotions close to the chest and lashes out (or drinks himself to oblivion) when things get too overwhelming. Now as for the whole Cas dying part of the episode, this certainly isn’t the first time in a TV show or movie that someone has declared their love for another person and then sacrificed themselves to save them. The fact that people are trying to pick at the scene and label it as homophobic is really pissing me off. We have seen, over and over again, Cas jump in front of Sam and Dean to save their lives, so this sacrifice is not out of character and we knew he was going to die the moment he made that deal with the empty. 

2. Furthermore, no one on Supernatural has EVER BEEN HAPPY, so why would that change now!? From season 1 it was clear the supernatural was not a happy ending sort of show, yet you’re all causing a fuss because Cas dies once he experiences a true moment of happiness in sharing his feelings with Dean? Aren’t you happy when you share your feelings with someone you love?

3. This is not homophobic writing, it’s simply the depressing pattern of supernatural. It happens every time the boys find happiness or settle down with someone; Lisa, Amelia, Jessica. So calm your farm. The writers thought that they were giving you what you wanted, they gave you a beautiful heartfelt confession and very supernatural-like ending. Nothing homophobic too it.  As someone who sits on the fence, who appreciates the Destiel ship but wouldn’t have minded either way, I can say with confidence that I loved the way the episode ended, as much as I hated the fact the Cas died (we all knew it was coming, but it didn’t make it any easier). 

Sorry about this, everything I was reading was getting on my nerves and I felt that I had to say something. The actors and the writers did this for us, for the fans, and for the diehard Destiel shippers and all they are getting in return is a lot of hate.
