Miles and Mikey get separated on patrol together and one of the villains gets to Mikey and stuffs him into the aforementioned freezer.

Later, Miles finds his boyfriend in the freezer, unmoving, not breathing, no heartbeat to be found. Having missed that specific turtle fact while researching his boyfriend's turtle habits, he comes to the conclusion that Mikey must be dead and understandably just fucking falls into despair. Maybe he even blameshimself for not finding Mikey not sooner, frets over how to explain this to Mikey's family, that he killed their youngest with his negligence.

Maybe he even goes there, delivers the body back to them because what else he's supposed to do?

Their reaction baffles him.

Instead of mourning, they warm up Mikey (they know what's going on here) and to Miles' surprise, Mikey rises from the not-so-dead after all. Miles rushes to Mikey and swallows his dizzy, confused boyfriend in a tearful hug, so relieved that he's not dead.

Everyone is happy again, yayyy!

You can be sure though that after this emotional rollercoaster, Miles always makes sure his boyfriend stays warm because he does not want a round two.
