Shadow and Bone — S02E08 “No Funerals”

Red, White & Royal Blue (2023), dir. Matthew Lopez
Finished season 5 and I have one question. Why Scott’s morale suddenly disappeared? Breaking Theo’s neck? Good. Manipulating teenager who has been tortured most of his life? Good. Sending him to who-knows-where? Good. Not questioning it after? Good.
Because the whole show we see Scott, our familiar kind Scott, who gives second chances to all the villains, tries his hardest not to kill them.
But when it comes to Theo… Scott is apathetic, not caring. And I guess I know why, I described it earlier in my posts. But it still leaves a big question - why the only blind spot for all-forgiving true alpha was Theo, and not, for example Peter? An actual adult, who hadn’t been under any threat or manipulation at least in season 4.

Speak, she begged silently. Give me a reason to stay. For all his selfishness and cruelty, Kaz was still the boy who had saved her. She wanted to believe he was worth saving, too.
